How to save flare/chaff settings? Plea to developers - enable saving

Once upon the time there was possibility to save custom settings on different systems (countermeasure panel), mfd settings etc in Falcon 4...ie, you could setup your settings and save them using key combo, so that after starting new game, you could load up your countermeasure settings..

Will there / is there a possibility to save CMSP Panel settings - ie, i would like to save Program A, so that it stays saved for the next flight...??

It would be nice to be able to save your CMSP settings, and your weapons profiles as well.

This I second!

Not sure how it works on the A-10C, but on the advanced fast jets I once worked on, the driver could store his own setup for the systems, along with mission profiles and everything else he/she wanted loaded into the system, on the data stick which was then brought to the aircraft and uploaded. Better to use the fuel and time for doing something useful when in the aircraft, so I would assume that a similar system is in place in the Hog? Then again, you never know...

The countermeasures programs should now be stored in a .lua file somewhere in your config folders, just edit the file using Notepad++ (not MS Notepad) to your preferred settings.

Job done.

There's like a dozen premade programs already which cover most combinations, can't you use one of them?

So set it to semi-auto mode :) It will automatically select the best profile when it detects a weapon launch, but will not deploy the program until you hit the CMS fire button.

I agree, it would be very nice to configure your countermeasure settings in the mission prep page (loadout screen, maybe?) and upload them on the data cartridge.

Also, when in semi-auto mode, remember that the CMS back button will terminate a running program. Most of the programs seem to run 8-10 seconds, so if you only want to dump 2-6 chaff and/or flares, hit CMS forward, give it to the count of 'two potato', then hit CMS back to end the program early.
