Unless you own the X65F please do not slag something just because you're opinion says the other is better.

I do own both and there is nothing wrong with precision on the X65F, in fact, I could fly more precise with it than I could with the Warthog. Also, switches on the throttle feels 100x better than those on the Warthog. For pete's sake, I feel like I'm going to break those buttons on the Warthog if I press too hard.

I don't own a X65F, but I have used one. Personally, I didn't like it. I DO own a X-52 and X-52 PRO, and neither is well made, both have had problems with bad connections inside, spiking, not holding calibration, etc. so unless the quality of the X65F is head and shoulders above Siateks other products....I still think the quality is much better in the Warthog.

And to me....the switches on the Warthog feel much, much more durable than anything Saitek has ever made....I have no idea how you could feel they are flimsy on the Warthog.

Well to be fair, I always thought my X52 was pretty solid. That was until I made my maiden flight with the HOTAS Warthog, though.

The stick is rock solid, but in all fairness there is some play on the throttles, which makes them feel less sturdy in relation the the rest of the build of the HOTAS.

And that I never had any play on the X52 throttle.

Button flimsyness is not something I encounter on the WH, though. Not on the stick nor the throttle. All buttons are rock solid.

But if you mean by flimsyness that, for example, the cap of the flap switch can be turned and is not fixed, then it might come across as flimsy, but its only the cap that has some play, not the switch itself. Its the same on real airplanes, trust me. You should see how much play there is on many switches in any given cockpit.

Still they have to be certified for aviation, so flimsyness is not really the fitting term here.

This youtube video is me flying it with the X65F, it was before I had my Warthog still.

RogueRunner, thanks for the video, it eased most worries i had with FS stick.

The only thing i noticed is that when you slew the TGP it looks like you are using buttons(not analog), my question is, are you using one of the hats to slew or are you mapping the 'bands' in the mini-stick to make it work like a hat? (it seems like most people do that for some reason)

Is there no way to use the mini-stick to slew with analog?

Slewing around looking for targets is one of my favorite part of the A-10.

I am, nice spot there. I just mapped the buttons in the A10 controls page. My mini stick was set to emulate bands and those were actually mapped to the radio switch. The hat used for the TGP was the one in front of the throttle where the real slew control is on the real jet.

The mini stick on the X65F is tons better (bigger thus easier to manipulate) than the Warthog version, I just never used it for it's real purpose as I went for as close to real mapping as I could.

With the price of ammunition these days do not expect a warning shot.
