They are a pain in the ass do to the transition from the stick to the base and the throttle having an angle. So one we go to other projects MIP and Indicator lights:thumbup: https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

Deadman Posted January 22, 2012 Author Posted January 22, 2012 (edited) The back plate is cut from 0.064 aluminum it is the support structure for all of the switches, rotaries, potentiometers and back lit plate on a control head or box. It holds the control head mounted to the Dzus rail witch are mount to the consoles in the cockpit. Here is the spec that shows the basic lay out of real control panel http://www.everyspec.com/MS+Specs/MS2/MS25000-MS25999/MS25212C_8526/ Edited January 22, 2012 by Deadman https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.

mikewmac Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Cool thanks for letting me know how many cougars do you have ? your selling at least one on eBay i thought. Deadman, I have 2 Cougars that I use personally, one with the FCC-1 mod and one with the Uber2 NXT mod and they are quite envious of my now beautifully covered Warthog. :joystick: I also have a third unmodded Cougar that you saw on Ebay for sale that will be shipped out Thursday to some lucky buyer and a fourth unmodded one in "mint" condition that I'll probably also sell sometime in the near future. Mike Mike
Deadman Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 Dam man you have a few mine is just a well used Mod with IJ's Uber2 and hall sensors form Cubby https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
mikewmac Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Dam man you have a few mine is just a well used Mod with IJ's Uber2 and hall sensors form Cubby Deadman, Yeh, I'm kind of over Cougar'd at the moment. Besides in my Uber2 I've got Cubby's Hall sensors in both my personal Cougar throttles and my Thrustmaster RCS. I've had one of my Cougars since 2002 when they first came out and have picked up the others whenever I have run across a good deal on one. In the last few months I've bought and sold three unmodded Cougars besides the two unmodded ones that I still currently have. I also picked up a broken Cougar for parts, so I didn't count that one. Oh, and I also have a brand new never been used Cougar throttle that I bought cheap. My wife says that I have acute Cougaritis. I hope it's not terminal. :D Mike Mike
