The 1st stage of the trigger on my Hotas Warthog is acting as it should but I have to almost violently press the trigger down to reach the 2nd stage. I hear a clicking sound but nothing happens if I don't press it down hard enough. Is your 2nd trigger stage also that hard to activate ?

I dont have to press so hard to reach the 2nd trigger.

You perhaps most open up the joystick and mod it a little?

If the trigger is hard to puch, try a knife or a file

Hi Migo,

I would not advise opening your throttle up and poking around with sharp objects.

The spring is a lot stiffer than most every other joystick on the market, and that fact was even a marketing point. All the WH buttons and switches feel solid and some have a spring tougher than the trigger (left throttle button)

Just give it some time to break in, and your right index finger will get stronger, and your brain will become accustomed to the new feel of the WH.

Good point!

Or try some fine oil on the trigger?

Agreed, especially if you are not mechanically inclined. It's amazing how they packed so much into the handle. Putting it back together could prove a huge challenge.

FYI, the Cougar and Warthog handles don't open the same way.

It should be so hard to push... you don't want to accidentally discharge that thing while flying over an elementary school do you!?

I love it because it feels realistic.

Sounds like someone needs one of those springy hand & finger muscle builders.
