Thought I'd chime in here and have a say. ED has said in the past that they read these boards but may not respond in writing to every issue but every issue is looked into. I am having this problem along with disappearing hud and mfd text at times also....it's all started with beta 4. Too many people are having this problem and with that I am sure ED is working on the issue. My guess is if they could not replicate the issue they would be in here asking for all kinds of tracks files and the such.....just take it easy and let see what beta 5 gives us. I don't see why we need mommy(ED) to come pat us on the back and tell us it will be ok and she'll fix it. IT's beta boys and it will all be sorted out in the end....so relax and enjoy what works.

OK...after all that....I WANT THIS FIXED ED!!!!!! ;) cause it always manifests itself right after i do all the work getting the A10 all started and the INS is aligned...so frustrating.

I also have this,

Windows 7 64 bit

Intel Core i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz (overclocked to 4.2 GHz)

Geforce GTX 460 driver version 8.17.12.6099

6GB Ram

It fixes itself if I click on my other screen which minimizes the game and then open it again, the cockpit will then redraw and the text will be back.

I have this as well, GTX 570 with the latest drivers, indeed this did not happen before I updated. Is there any way to get DirectX to redraw the game if I am in windowed mode?

EDIT: for those of us in windowed mode the game will redraw if you do something that needs UAC elevation, I would assume the screen dim causes this. Anyway I hope this is useful to someone.

Im getting it too on an Nvidia GTX460. Pics attached. However I get text in the HUD randomly vanish also. The pitchbars are fine just the text. Pics also included. No idea if the two problems are related just posting because they are both issues with text.

The issue with missing text on the HUD and MFD's is still alive. It starts off just fine but the HUD texts usually disappears about 5 minutes after start up and the MFD's quit some time later. I have a track file but its about 7MB...i'll upload if requested. The problem exists at all graphic setting levels as best I can tell. This tends to happen in multiplayer on a regulart basis...single player it does not happen as much

Computer specs below, Nvidia driver version is 260.99

I've been playing all through the beta's and never had this problem, I too am using a GTX460.

Today (post patch) after a mission I came into land and parked up, then glanced down at the left consule and all the labels were missing.

Yes, they were there for most of the mission. The only time I noticed they were gone was during shutdown.

Sorry I can't be more helpful :(

i could not test the patch yet, but in beta it helped, to pause the game, press ctr+alt+del (to do something uac related) and the switch back to game. after 1 sec or so, the textures were reloaded...

same problem here - nVidia GTX460.

I downloaded some new drivers yesterday and will give them a try tonight...see if it's still there.

Updated to driver version 267.46 and still getting this frequently. Also, during one occurance I noticed much of the HUD symbology was suddenly missing along with the cockpit textures, though it returned with alt-tab to desktop and then back into the game, as the cockpit textures do.

Hi

same problem here (gtx460) but I've found a workaround.

When the labels go away I go up a click with the console light dial and the labels come back!

I hope that works for you and helps the DSC team to solve the problem.

Guess I'll add myself to this list. It happened in the Beta. It never happened (as far as I noticed) in the release, but it does happen regularly in the patch. Labels are ok, then just disappear perhaps 5 minutes later--including MFCD labels. Not all the time, but when it does happen, that's the pattern.

Hi pilots,

I only got DCS: A-10 the other day and it's the patched release version.

I also own a GTX460.

I am using TrackIR 5.

I have been getting the missing labels problem in all circumstances. A first it was just the consoles that went and normally it was in 'low attention' situations, ie while looking at an external view or while looking away from the consoles. Gradually this issue appeared to affect both the MFCDs and the HUD. Strangely the Front panels are not affected.

I tried alt-tabbing out and back in again and pausing whilst doing so.

I have tried using different cockpit texture resolutions to no avail.

Looking on the forums it seemed that getting the latest version of the Nvidia drivers might fix this. It did not.

Looking down further through possible solutions, using the console lighting to fix it did work for the console labels, although not unfortunately for the HUD/MFCDs and I noticed that the problem with the consoles reappeared on shutdown when there was no more power to the console lighting.

I would show you screenshots, but they look no different to the ones already posted here.

Here's hoping that another voice will hasten a fix for this issue.

Regards,

Razvedchik
