GIMBALL ROLL >> in TGP? how to fix?

just flew instant mission two

and encountered a

 

GIMBALL ROLL >>

 

after gun run

in top of TGP

I turn the plane to target, nothing happens

I try to slew, nothing happens

I can cage the seeker and that works, then I have to point the seeker again

 

but it seems to me a heading-to-target turn should have fixed it?

what is this GIMBALL ROLL >> ?

The head of the lightning has turned around it's axis too far, you can counteract by what you said: cage seeker and reseek target, or do a roll in the correct direction.

so there's half a problem

but i'll try again, perhaps i was confusing the plane (:P) with som eraric China or TMSDMS clicks

Recentering the TGP will "unwind" the camera and fix the Gimball Roll. I don't have the keybinding list in front of me but I believe it is a left short on either the TMS or China Hat. I'll check when I get home if no one jumps in with the exact command.
