kingneptune117 Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) Hey guys, I played the first mission of the "devils" campaign (probably not the right name but close enough) I hold at contact point, and contact the JTAC. He gets to the part where he says "standby data", and says cleared to engage, yet I receive no data. Is this a mission specific bug or is JTAC just borked overall in this final release? Thanks EDIT Quick update. I just tried the first mission of the georgian hammer campaign and had the exact same problem. Is it just me or is this bug widespread? kingneptune117 Posted February 24, 2011 Author Posted February 24, 2011 Tried that and it did not work. Are other people having this problem? lester Posted February 24, 2011 Posted February 24, 2011 Tried that and it did not work. Are other people having this problem? You of course have JTRS switch on AHCP set to the ON position. Might be related to something else. Have you a 32bit OS? If so have a look at my sig. Also what is your video card? todd022 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I have to say, I've pretty much been waiting for the final release to start the campaigns. Thus, that's all I've really been flying the past 4 days. I have experienced all of these (see all above posts) malfunctions during this first campaign as well. Not to mention, the taxiing problems with wingmen/other AI...left me solo most of the time. I am running the 64-bit version on 64-bit OS. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]

Mugenjin Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 I run the the 32 bit version of the game on a 64 bit win 7 (so that i can use tIR) i have a nvidia gtx 285 There's a TIR Beta which supports 64bit. No need to run the 32-bit version then.
todd022 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Actually, the new final version of TIR supports 64-bit. It's what I'm using, and loving it. That last beta was killing me. [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]
awjudge Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 I have a similar problem with this mission. Initially I got the sending data message, but no message came through. Since then, every time I fly the mission, I get no tasking available from the JTAC. I have reset the campaign to the start, same issue. Love the game, but this is a bit weak, mission 1 of campaign 1 not working?!
zamboni Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 Just noticed tonight (I think it may have been mentioned in a different thread). 1) I have had success in getting the JTAC data by making sure my Unit ID = 01 and my Group ID = 01. 2) What I had read somewhere was that the UnitID & GroupID gets reset when you take off....but that may not be correct. During a campaign mission tonight it reset the moment when my WINGMAN took off. so....make sure you have your IDs set to 01 AND all of your flight has taken off before you contact JTAC. 1
awjudge Posted February 28, 2011 Posted February 28, 2011 (edited) Thanks Zamboni, I did reset my Group and Unit IDs to 1 on takeoff, but didn't check to see if they'd changed when the wingie left the ground... I will have another go! UPDATE: Ok, so setting group and ID to 1 got me as far as getting a 9-line, and a transmitting data/ready to engage message. But I received no message on the TAD or MFD... Oh, and it looked like the Net IDs didn't change when the wingie took off... Edited February 28, 2011 by awjudge
Juuba Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Next time, get closer to .. was it IP ADDER - the JTAC is on the ground there I believe, I've gotten the red triangle a few times in a row in that way. Sometimes I Amaze even Myself!
