AV8R Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 I just purchased Helios, waiting for the product to arrive. For some reason, the downloadable version crashes as soon as I launch it.
Sandman Posted March 1, 2011 Posted March 1, 2011 Strange - I wouldn't expect there'd be any difference between the download and CD version. Have you tried posting over at SCS (not wanting to hi-jack this thread) - the support from Gadroc is excellent. There isn't a CD version yet, I downloaded RC4 today, used it in SP & MP with no issues. v303d Fighter Group Discord | Virtual 303d Fighter Group Website

AV8R Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Sandman and Paul, I didnt get a registration sent to me since I paid, and the email I recieved was: "Thank you for your order from SC Simulations, LLC.. Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order." Ill take this issue over to their site's forum. Thanks for the infos. Hopefully I wont have to re-invent the wheel and leverage CDU and other gadget art like yours.
nomdeplume Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Lets say a JTAC gives me coordinates. Can I input those directly, or do I have to do a conversion with those? The dynamic JTAC script will provide coordinates in MGRS format, so you can input them directly by hitting the "L/L" button on the OSB to change it to MGRS/UTM format. Just be aware that they will drop leading 0s, and the CDU won't accept grids with an odd number of elements; usually just entering a 0 at the start will solve that.

Good initiative. Not quite there yet though. ;) 42 60' 07.8" doesn't fly either. S77th-konkussion Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 What we've been doing to enter coords from JTAC (like in OPeration Cherkessk) is CDU to MISSION WP button Steerpoint LSK enter L/L numbers in DDMMTTT/DDDMMTTT (using 0's for spacers & dashes) save LSK (3rd on right side) HUD as SOI- DMS up or down to cycle to newly created steerpoint... 1 [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]

S77th-konkussion Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Yeah only caveat to know about in that procedure is that the first "entry" seems to have a default of ?5. From what I can see- there must already something in that slot... because I have to hit the save LSK twice to display ?7 on the CDU. Thus the coordinates I entered are now saved as SP #6.
