Mustang Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 You need to go into your options and look under GAMEPLAY and untick LABELS and then tick the "USE THESE OPTIONS FOR ALL MISSIONS" box. Alternatively you can disable labels on the fly by pressing left-shift F10 (like i did last night) :)

I also have Tooltips turned off in sim, but in multiplayer they still appear. It seems like multiplayer, doesn't recognize my sim settings?? Mustang Posted March 2, 2011 Posted March 2, 2011 Ah sorry, i think i pointed you in the wrong direction :doh: You'll have to check the settings of the mission in the mission editor, load it up and check to see the labels aren't ticked under mission options

Also Tooltips come up which I never use either (every time I hover my mouse over a button in MP, it shows me what the button does!) Had a look in options.lua and all is set as it should be. Hopefully I will have 100 hours online soon.....just hope it's not with tooltips still on :D The only place I can find anything to do with tooltip and label settings is in the options.lua in the User/savegame folder. Couldn't find anything in the Eagle Dynamics folder? I have tried everythiing I can think off, but am still stumped as to why they are coming up only when I play multiplayer!!! Each time I tried to join, all i saw was a damn tanker and an Awacs in the area. It appeared to be a free flight to me as there was no mission specified. First time- A No go. will try again but with COD coming on the horizon it will take all of my spare time to share between these two sims. And hell- I am retired. I went into the mission and 'Enforced' the labels and tooltips, but left the 'Value' box unchecked. When I hosted the game I still had labels and tooltips? You have to pick the aircraft you want to fly or you'll be greeted with targets. It's the page right before the one where you click fly. It's the one that shows who's online. When you first go into the multiplayer screen, you will be in the spectator area. To the bottom right will be a list of aircraft you can get in, with callsigns etc. You will see in the far right corner the pilots names of people who have already taken aircraft. Click on one of the empty ones and it will then put you in that aircraft (good idea to take note of your callsign :D) Once you are in the slot then click Join in the bottom right and it will take you into multiplayer (sometimes the game may be paused so all you need to do is press your normal 'Pause' button)......... and enjoy!! :joystick: Edited March 5, 2011 by CarneyUK fat finger speelings LOL "The sky is not the limit.....it's my playground!!" @paraglidecass

CarneyUK Posted March 6, 2011 Author Posted March 6, 2011 New patch out and yes it get's better and better...just had my first teampseak flight with the 354th Bulldog's. Thanks again guy's for your patience and a great mission. The learning curve is still at 90' vertical LOL and although the manual is great...it still doesn't beat getting online and trying things out!! Was a very enjoyable flight!! Got some nice screenies and I got one of Colt 1-2 as he flew round the outside of me. Liked it that much it's now my desktop :D (bottom pic) As you can see I keep my desktop very clean.
