I had posted this buried in another thread and thought they might be more visible in a separate thread. Hope they are of some use.

EDITED 4 MAR 2011

1. Updated the default key assignments list to correct two errors and to show it is for a US keyboard.

2. Added a matrix of US keyboard keys and modifiers to allow easier choice of key assignments.

Thank you! Corrections made and a new file posted above. Also added a matrix to allow easier key assignment choices.

That is eerie... I actually spend 30 minutes last night making myself a HOTAS chart like this before going to bed... only to get up to see an already made one posted.

*head desk*

Nice job btw, very useful! :)

Thank you! I found this easier as a desk side reference than the chart in the manual. There are lots of ways to represent this data and maybe yours is better ... why not post it anyway?

There's not many ways to do this, so it pretty much is similar to yours :P

Except that I removed the obvious functions (trigger, weapon release, slew) and shrank it to fit on one page that I attached below my monitor.

I do find yours easier to read though, so I might use it instead ;)

I like the content of your HOTAS Function card. Great work. I would try to make it a single page and format it to allow quick dissemination. Here's an example with an editable spreadsheet. Feel free to use it as a template.

It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

Thanks, StrongHarm! I tried to do it in one page but the typeface was hard to read at any distance (old eyes here :)). I also have it in Excel (one of my favorite apps!) but will look at yours and see what I can do.

BTW, I am anxiously awaiting your VAC profile for the RC .. I shamefully am holding off because yours was such an excellent piece of work!

This is hugely helpful, thanks! Might you also post your final Excel sheet with the key assignment matrix? That was actually more useful to me because it provided an easy way to determine what keys were still available for assignment to the UFC, CDU, etc.

Thanks for these docs, there is, however, a mistake in the HOTAS chart: you inverted pinky switch aft with pinky switch center.
