Napa Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Your system is way above the recommended system. After you install do some maintenance like defragging your HDD and it should run like a champ. bmbpdk Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Try the following 1) I often use the freeware CCleaner, just google it, it can perform wonders for your pc 2) When uninstalling programs, dont use the windows controlpanel, use instead the freeware version of revo uninstaller, have been using it for years without any problem 3) Make sure that you have your antivirus up-to-date and do a full scan every week 4) Make sure that your windows and all of your drivers are fulle updated That should perhaps improve your pc performance Inno3d RTX 2070 Twin X2, ASUS STRIX Z270E Gaming, Intel i7 7700K, 32GB Corsair vengeance, Kingston Hyper X FPS Alloy Cherry MX Red, Logitech G102 Prodigy, Track Ir 5, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Rudder pedals, Beyer Dynamic DT770, Acer CB280HK 4K monitor, Win 10 Pro 64bit

neoxman Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Definitely be fine...my i7 920 and GTX285 hate Black Shark but A-10 runs like a champ...the 64-bit compatibility probably gives it a big boost.
Zomba Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 I use the i7 960 with water cooling and have it running at 4.2ghz with the multiplier and qpi only and standard volts. Runs A-10c really well. I don't test for bugs, but when I do I do it in production.
Rusty_M Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 Not quite a 960 but I believe the 950 is cut from (almost literally) the same cloth. My system eats it for breakfast with only mild indigestion (frames still lower when low over cities but no slide show). This is with everything at max. Q8 x msaa. V sync. HDR. Even water high. Civ traffic low (mostly to avoid collateral). You should have no trouble enjoying this game. I also find it runs better than black shark. Although that runs acceptably too! The world is going mad. Runs A-10c really well. i guess that you then can overclock it pretty much, my i7 920 is overclocked to 4ghz with a zalman fan/cooler, and it never goes above 65-70 celcius in core temperature with a load of 95% for 2 hours. Normally when i play A-10c, with settings maxed up, the CPU load i between 5-20% and internal core temp at 40-55 celcius Inno3d RTX 2070 Twin X2, ASUS STRIX Z270E Gaming, Intel i7 7700K, 32GB Corsair vengeance, Kingston Hyper X FPS Alloy Cherry MX Red, Logitech G102 Prodigy, Track Ir 5, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, Saitek Combat Rudder pedals, Beyer Dynamic DT770, Acer CB280HK 4K monitor, Win 10 Pro 64bit

Rusty_M Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 The "almost" was in reference to the fact that I wouldn't call it cloth!:D The world is going mad. Me? I'm doing fine! http://www.twitch.tv/rusty_the_robot https://www.youtube.com/user/RustyRobotGaming
