shu77 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 I'm looking to reformat my PC with Windows 7 64Bit over the weekend, I run a 64Gig SSD as my primary and a 1Tb 7200RPM drive for data. So I will need to take a copy of my user profile off the C drive, but the remainder of the data is installed on the D drive. Has anyone been through this scenario? Any ideas if the data on the D drive needs to be backed up, or should I be good to just flatten the C drive with the install CD and have the data on the D drive will stay there happily? ilikepie Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 that should be sweet......if you are unsure, back up important stuff. Action After Contemplation
Ssnake51 Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 Best place I've found for installations questions concerning Windows 7 is here: http://www.sevenforums.com/installation-setup/
HiJack Posted March 8, 2011 Posted March 8, 2011 You still need to install all applications regardless of what disk they are on. Backup is essential ;)
shu77 Posted March 9, 2011 Author Posted March 9, 2011 Short update no affect to the data drives, all went smoothly. Still some apps to reinstall, but now have an extra 6 Gig of Ram up my sleeve Hornet, Super Carrier, Warthog & (II), Mustang, Spitfire, Albatross, Sabre, Combined Arms, FC3, Nevada, Gulf, Normandy, Syria AH-6J i9 10900K @ 5.0GHz, Gigabyte Z490 Vision G, Cooler Master ML120L, Gigabyte RTX3080 OC Gaming 10Gb, 64GB RAM, Reverb G2 @ 2480x2428, TM Warthog, Saitek pedals & throttle, DIY collective, TrackIR4, Cougar MFDs, vx3276-2k Combat Wombat's Airfield & Enroute Maps and Planning Tools
