The beeps/blinks should be a code which you can lookup and figure out what it means by using the manual for the mainboard.

It happened to me once and it was that i forgot to plug the fan cable in to the mother. It could be also a memory that is not well plugged.

Try plugin a normal cpu fan to the cpu fun input of the mother, if the computer starts, enter to the bios and deactivate the cpu fan.

Also, the bright red lights show you where it's at in the POST-sequence. It was a bit hard to see via the video, but it looked as if it stalled at boot device?

Do check the beep-codes in the manual.

Just find out what the beep-code means, should be in the beginning of the mobo manual. No point rebuilding if it's just a single contact somewhere that's not seated properly.

double check every cable that is plugged in, if the PSU is modular make sure you got video card into right socket for PCI-E power... and make sure you got RAM sticks in right slots... and just to throw this in, in case you forgot, you need to have keyboard plugged in.

No longer active in DCS...

Also make sure that your ATX cables are plugged in. Stupid mistake, I know, but it does happen, that and I don't see an 8 pin ATX cable anywhere near your CPU, though it might be there and I could just be blind(On ASUS boards, this is usually located just above the CPU, and has eight pins, four of which are covered by a plastic cap, you need to remove that before inserting the cable obviously).

Also, somewhat related, but not really: Since you have one of Intel's new I7 2600's, do you know if there has been any news on whether or not they finished fixing the problems they had with the new P67 and H67 chipsets? A while back they had a recall because of malfunctioning SATA controllers, but I haven't heard any news since.

I dont know if this will help you but here is what i find on google:

1.GeneralPOST (initial system boot) BEEP Codes

If you do not know the BIOS manufacturer, the followingwill be the general Beep codes:

? 1 Long and 1 Short Beep ?Bad Motherboard

? 1Short Beep and nothing else happens ?Disk Drive/Video RelatedProblems

? 1 Long and 2 Short Beeps ?Bad Video Card

? 1Continuous Beep or Non-stop short Beeps ?Bad Power Supply

? 3Short Beeps - Bad Memory

2.AmericanMegatrends Inc. (AMI) BEEP Codes

?1 Beep - Memory refresh timer error.

Reseat the memory, or replacewith known good modules.

? 2 Beeps - Parity Error

Reseat thememory, or replace with known good modules.

? 3 Beeps - Mainmemory read / write test error.

Reseat the memory, or replace withknown good modules.

? 4 Beeps - Motherboard timer notoperational

? 5 Beeps - Processor Errors

? 6 Beeps -Keyboard controller BAT test error.

? 7 Beeps - Generalexception error.

? 8 Beeps - Display memory error.

If thesystem video adapter is an add-in card, replace or reseat the videoadapter. If the video adapter is an integrated part of the systemboard, the board may be faulty.

? 9 Beeps - ROM checksum error

?10 Beeps - CMOS shutdown register read/write error

? 11 Beeps -Cache Memory Bad

Beeps 4-7, 9-11

Fatal error indicating a seriousproblem with the system. Consult your system manufacturer.

Before declaring the motherboard beyond all hope, eliminate the possibility of interference by a malfunctioning add-incard. Remove all expansion cards except the video adapter.

?If thebeep codes are generated even when all other expansion cards areabsent, the motherboard has a serious problem. Consult your systemmanufacturer.

?If the beep codes are not generated when all otherexpansion cards are absent, one of the add-in cards is causing themalfunction. Insert the cards back into the system one at a timeuntil the problem happens again. This will reveal the malfunctioningadd-in card.

3.AwardBios BEEP Codes

?1 Long Beep:Memory problem

Explanation: There is a failure of some sortrelated to the system memory.

Diagnosis: The first bank of memoryprobably has a failure of some sort; this is usually just a physicalproblem such as an incorrectly inserted module, but may also mean abad memory chip in a module. It is possible that there is a failurerelated to the motherboard or a system device as well.

? 1 Long, then 2 Short Beeps: Video error

Explanation:The BIOS is unable to access the video system in order to write anyerror messages to the screen.

Diagnosis: This is usually causedby a problem with the video card, or the memory on the video card. Itcan also be a motherboard issue.

? 1 Long, then 3 Short Beeps: Video error

Explanation:The BIOS is unable to access the video system in order to write anyerror messages to the screen.

Diagnosis: This is usually causedby a problem with the video card, or the memory on the video card. Itcan also be a motherboard issue.

? Continuous Beeping: Memory or videoproblem

Explanation: The system is producing constant beeping inno specific pattern, or a fast "ringing" sound.

Diagnosis:This is usually caused by a problem with the system memory, orpossibly the video card. The memory is more likely--the systemcomplains long and loud if it can't find any usable memory, as thereis no way to even start the boot process when this is the case. Themotherboard itself could also be the problem.

? Other Beep Codes

Explanation: You haveencountered an Award BIOS beep code I do not have documented.

Diagnosis: Award says that any beep patterns other than "onelong followed by two short" are likely problems with the systemmemory. However, of late they have started adding other beep codes totheir systems as well.

4.PhoenixBEEP Codes

?1-1-3

Explanation: Your computer can't read the configurationinformation stored in the CMOS.

Diagnosis: Replace themotherboard.

? 1-1-4

Explanation: Your BIOS needs to bereplaced.

Diagnosis: Got to your motherboard manufacturers website and download the new Bios.

? 1-2-1

Explanation: You have a bad timer chip onthe motherboard.

Diagnosis: Replace the motherboard.

? 1-2-2 or 1-2-3 or 1-3-1 or 1-3-3 or 1-3-4 or 1-4-1

Explanation: Motherboards is bad.

Diagnosis: Replace themotherboard.

? 1-4-2

Explanation: Some of your memory isbad.

Diagnosis: Go to Basic Trouble Shooting

? 1-3-1

Explanation: Motherboards isbad.

Diagnosis: Replace the motherboard.

? 2-_-_ Any combination of beeps aftertwo

Explanation: Some of your memory might be bad.

Diagnosis:Go to Basic Trouble Shooting

? 3-1-_

Explanation: One of the chips on yourmotherboard is broken.

Diagnosis: Replace the motherboard.

? 3-2-4

Explanation: Keyboard controllerfailure.

Diagnosis:

? 3-3-4

Explanation: Your computer can't find thevideo card.

Diagnosis: Is it there? If so, try swapping it withanother one and see if it works.

? 3-4-_

Explanation: Your video card isn'tworking.

Diagnosis: Replace Video Card.

I had that happen on one of my builds: a bad power supply. It was a brand new power supply so it took me ahwile to figure it out.

Hopefully, that is the problem here as it is quite easy to remedy.

New mobos with B3 stepping Cougar Point is already out, it's fixed. And it's not malfunctioning SATA controllers, it's degrading - 5-15% risk of failure within 3 years on the SATA2 controller. (Funnily enough, the fault was a single transistor that was undersized/malformed/something and would slowly burn out.)

Hassata, if it was the memory sticks the POST-LEDs (the red ones) should have stopped at the memory sticks and remained with a steady light, not give a beepcode.

I had this issue when rebuilding my i7-2600k after putting new CPU cooler in. I spent 5 hours trying to figure out what the issue was.

Turned out that the RAM was not seated properly. That fixed it. I was not able to get into BIOS at all.

Boot device stall, then. Do you see the disk listed in BIOS?

Might just be that the SATA cables aren't seated properly. I have found that they do often require a bit more force to seat onto the drive than I myself is comfortable with, so that might be it.

what is the LED code saying - the number?

There's a LED error code on that mainboard.

Look at page 2-21 in the manual for error codes.
