DCS Aerobatics

with these flightsims and since the beginning of them. theres somthing else we require and i think DCS is more than capable of providing the experience. Aerobatics. im sure i heard in the new il2 they are providing an aircraft for such fun to be had.

my thought or wish is for an offshoot product within the DCS series and fully associated with dcs to allow us pilots to take our experiences in this direction. its just another aircraft yes but. tailored for aerobatics / formation flyights and possible general civil aviation training.

i think it would be a very popular & thoughtfull product aimed at the non mil-sim flightsimmer, it could lead to a civil aviation aspect with DCS and bridge the gaps allowing for non combat related activity within the combat related world.

I always thought that a jet trainer, T-45, L-39, T-38 would be cool, but it probably wouldn't see near the number of sales as a combat variant. In real life, people need trainer aircraft. In simulation, we can just jump in the real deal and die as many times as needed to get something right. Also, ED would never see a contract for making a desktop trainer for a trainer aircraft lol. That's what the real trainer is for!

I realize you are talking about aerobatic aircraft, but the same could be said for them. While some of us do enjoy that type of flying, it is not the aim or goal of DCS to provide non-combat aircraft, as this is a strictly combat sim (DCS - Digital Combat Simulation Series). IL2 does not include near the amount of detail in their aircraft as do ED, so we are comparing apples and oranges. Don't get me wrong though...I will buy anything ED sells, except for BS.

But DCS stands for Digital COMBAT simulator....some of us havent got the "light your hair on fire" fix yet

What about the Hawk? ... It seems your wish is already planned, see:

indeed ! hence my appraisal \o/ to the concept DCS:Aerobatics.

i had another old post out there that got shot down superbly for the suggestion of just what dcs could be out with the context of the word that was so prevelant around here, that being "combat". but finnaly its all happening. great times ahead.

I can pretty much confirm that the Virtual Red Arrows will be swtiching over to DCS when we have the Hawk up and running.

All of the VEAO development team are from the VRA and have flown together for many years.

I love areobatic flying just as much as combat so the Hawk definitely fits this and opens up the way to many more teams and solo demonstrations.

Hi I like this idea of a DCS Aerobatics Squad or Club with DCS products even with LockOn etc

There is a guy over at BMS he tried to introduce this sadly not many interested in it. Its well thought over I think anyway give it a read or if you guys like I post the whole idea here but I ask for permission first by the author.
