yonyz Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Hi, I am currently playing a training mission from Dragon's Training pack and I'm in a hover where I can spot all of the enemy tanks and AAA vehicles. I already ran out of Vikhrs BEFORE I destroyed what seems like an AAA vehicle, so since there are also a lot of other enemy vehicles around, mainly tanks, before I approach for some rocket runs, I'd like to mark those targets on the ABRIS, to remember to deal with them all. The question is, what is the procedure for doing this?
nemises Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 you must use the Datalink system. - first , aim the shkval at the target, and make sure you have taken a laser ranging - next press one of the 3 marker buttons on the DL panel (at the top left of cockpit). You should see the symbol flashing on your Abris screen. - Press Send button to store this location ...repeat for as many targets as you like up to...I cant remember...6?
yonyz Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 That didn't work. Nothing shows up on the ABRIS...
Isegrim Posted March 19, 2011 Posted March 19, 2011 Hi Is DL on ? Is Laser on and you got an Tracked Target with range? "Blyat Naaaaa" - Izlom
yonyz Posted March 19, 2011 Author Posted March 19, 2011 Apparently, DL was off. I just realized it when I saw the Datalink video by Matt Wagner. It works now. Thank you.
nemises Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 no worries..you can also send these targets to team mates in multiplayer, and auto slew your Shkval to the stored targets.
flanker0ne Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 To be precise if you just acquire targets and stores for yourself, You are not using the Datalink system.:smartass: What a Prankster that I am SCOPRI DI PIU': https://www.amvi.it/joinus.php DISCORD COMBINEDOPS The Battle Planning Tool

Can any of my wingmen be a fixed-wing aircraft, like an Su-25? Could be useful for destroying SAMs which I may find hard to avoid while attacking. Also, how can I slew the Shkval to the target coordinates?
flanker0ne Posted March 20, 2011 Posted March 20, 2011 A fixed-wing aircraft cant be a wingman of a helicopter , also in real world. Before that you yell at me....no you can't! Sob sob SCOPRI DI PIU': https://www.amvi.it/joinus.php DISCORD COMBINEDOPS The Battle Planning Tool
