Mustang Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Saw this posted over in Guru3d forums: "IMPORTANT: The supplied Geforce Drivers 267.52 for Geforce GTX 590 will not stop the card from overheating when overclocking. Please use newer versions from the Nvidia website and stay away from 267.52. Otherwise this may happen ..."
Pilotasso Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 It looks like the voltage regulators gave up. Thats scary. Use 2 separate 580's if you want to go SLI. .
BHawthorne Posted April 3, 2011 Posted April 3, 2011 A significant amount of tech hardware sites doing GTX590 reviews ended up burning up their cards. We're not talking a small number -- we're talking 10+ cherry-picked reviewer cards went up in a puff of smoke. If you're an OCer, the GTX590 is a lemon design. Stick to two GTX570 and GTX580 for better overhead.
