Airsmetten Posted April 8, 2011 Posted April 8, 2011 Hi guys, Up to now I've been able to comply every mission upto the recce mission. Problems I've encountered: Fighter support....hmmmm doing very little. Flew the mission on the deck 200ft, requested fighter support about 3 times and those Mig-29 still splashed me time after time...:music_whistling: Last time I was able to evade the Migs, found the tank convoy and completed the navigation:) but I couldn't enter my mission results with the F10 radio commands...damn frustrating after flying a 60min thrilling low level mission:doh:. Did I forget something or is the mission still broken after the latest patch? Dingo Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 How did you finish the CSAR mission (Mission 1)? My downed Viper Driver still won't get picked up by the SAR helo. I orbit til bingo or the MIG's come....any suggestions because the LZ is completely clear when the bird gets there. Win 7 X64 Pro, AMD 965 Black (OC'd 4ghz), 16gig G. I've used the adapted mission file created by Petekorn to complete the first mission. You can find the file in this topic : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69085&page=2 Greetings Rick ------------------------- Windows 7 64bit Intel Core i7 860 @ 4.0GHz Corsair Vengeance LP 16Gb DDR3 1600MHz MSI GeForce GTX 970 4Gb 1*24" -------------------------- [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

When pressing radio comms F10, do you get 3 report options to select from? When selecting one it will be marked by an "x" and this report is accepted when landing and stopping on your base. The follow on mission will then depend on the accuracy of your report.

No the options are not in the F10 menu. When the F10 page is available there is only 1 option in it and that is the "Request fighter support". wielblad Posted April 11, 2011 Posted April 11, 2011 same issue here. No such option in the radio menu.
Dingo Posted April 13, 2011 Posted April 13, 2011 This should be corrected in the next patch. Pilot pickup will take 2 minutes. Yeah I know but I am still having the issue after the patch. I will try the flight again and make a track if it just hovers by the pilot again. The LZ was totally clean and I trolled the area for a good 20-30 minutes until bingo. BTW I did not edit anything after the patch. Will try again...it has been mostly multiplayer for me now.....:pilotfly: Thanks for the response. Win 7 X64 Pro, AMD 965 Black (OC'd 4ghz), 16gig G. 2302rs Posted April 16, 2011 Posted April 16, 2011 I have the same problem with the recce mission, tried it 3 times, always spotted the convoy, but no F10 options to report the advance route (only to call in fighter support). Any hints?
636_Castle Posted April 17, 2011 Posted April 17, 2011 I can't seem to get past the very first CSAR mission either. The UH-60 hovers over the pilot until everyone runs out of fuel. Maybe it can be fixed in the ME. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] How To Fix Your X-52's Rudder!

IncCat Posted April 20, 2011 Posted April 20, 2011 Same here, no options to report in - only request fighter support.
Spectre_USA Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 After struggling through the first two full campaigns, having to use PeterKorn's fixed first 2 missions, being shredded by MiG's or torn asunder by a half-dozen Gecko's is just too darned much. Especially after having to fly for close to an hour just to get to the area to get your arse handed to ya. Whoever built the first and last campaigns is a real sadist, especially since it is a pass/fail system. Georgia Hammer, by comparison, is a very fun campaign. Does anyone have a working Shore4.miz that they'd be willing to share? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] A tale of 2 hogs
Spectre_USA Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I'll take it, after 3 days, that the answer is "no." I tried putzing around with it in the Mission Editor, but cannot figure out how to fix it, the only item presented on the F10 menu is a call for fighter support. If the MIZ files were editable in notepad, I would search for the missing menu item, but alas, it is not. Help? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] A tale of 2 hogs
zamboni Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 I gave the stock first mission in this campaign a try and after getting waxed by the MiGs, checked the .trk and Tacview .acmi of the mission. CAP and SEAD went full AB near their first WP, ran out of gas and crashed into the sea. Tried editing to get them to stop that but no go and just gave up. Didn't try or investigate the other missions....gonna wait till the next patch to give it a go. As for looking at the .miz file. All I think you need to do is rename it to a .zip file and unzip it. Then you can open up the mission file with notepad to check things.
goldfinger35 Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) I didn't even touch the campaigns because of the AI problems others are reporting. Will also wait for next patch. Miz file can be opened with winrar (open with). Spectre, I guess easier solution would be to edit the mission and remove the migs (or change the % of them spawning). Spectre_USA Posted April 30, 2011 Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) Yeah, I could just negate all harmful entities, but it still doesn't negate the fact that the radio button for the recce portion never lights up. Thanks for the heads up on the miz/zip situation, I'll give that a look Zamboni... ___EDIT___ That worked. Took a look at the "mission" file in notepad, and it does show a "report route A", B & C. What is causing it to not generate as it should is beyond me. 574 KB of text is a whole lot of verbiage. Will have to go into extended mumble mode for this one... >Er, mumble, mumble< :D Edited April 30, 2011 by Spectre_USA Discovered stuff. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] A tale of 2 hogs
fourty03 Posted May 3, 2011 Posted May 3, 2011 (edited) I was about to post about this mission.... I've started this mission a week ago and could not figure out for the life of me how to "report" positions as the mission brief stated to use "f10" and the only thing to choose is "Fighter support" I had to figure out the hard way how to get the Migs from getting me... Once I am at the 3rd Waypoint, I wait until my radar picks them up, then I turn back towards my "fighter support" out in the ocean.. Depending on their position (migs), either the fighter support gets em, or if they are close enough, my wingman and I get em. They get 'em every time! lol I've played this mission about 4 times now, and it was pretty good practice for low flying and sam / aaa avoidance. I've got the mission down to a science now. Just could not figure out how to make this mission show complete. If we cannot fix this mission, is there anyway we could skip it via the Campaign mode? It's actually a pretty fun mission. Spectre_USA Posted May 6, 2011 Posted May 6, 2011 It is a real hoot, except for the LONG flight time, not unlike the first in the Shore series. I have never monkeyed with the CMP builder, but as I cannot figure out how to get this integral part of the mission operational, I may give it a go. I am driven to complete all the campaigns, and the mission generator is getting a bit old after making and tweaking a half dozen or so. I just hope the next patch has these flipping things fixed. I could see if it was missing a BMP or SAM site, no big deal. But if it is needed to pass onto the next mission, it darned well ought to work... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] A tale of 2 hogs
Shootist Posted May 7, 2011 Posted May 7, 2011 Interestingly, I had packed this campaign in because of initial bugs that caused wingmen to get hung up at taxi and losing my hud ladder and so on. Finishing the first campaign and well into the second, I decided to give it another go. But, this time I used the auto start. After a good 15 minutes I was still sitting there waiting for the pitot, nwsteering, seat arm to happen when I took over and requested taxi. I followed the dotted line past the transport, made the turn on the dotted line and watched all my wingmen follow. As this airfield is huge I slowly made my way to takeoff and made sure Mo. Larry and Curly stayed with me. Takeoff was normal and the long trip to the rescue event followed without any video corruption. My thinking here is that there is so much going on at this airfield that if you hurry up the process you get corruption. Just a thought but well. who knows. Unfortunately, after a long flight (I did use the cntrl z keys a lot.)I did what I have learned to do with this game which is anchor the Three Stooges (is that mean?) and scout the area first, taking out the AAA. Then the fast mover bad guys arrived and it was game over for us. I got the attack bogies order out an one of my guys knocked down one bogey. So, back to the drawing board. Then again, I haven't even experienced CSAR not doing its job so that is yet to come. Asus P8P67Pro, Intel i7, 8gb DDR3, OCZ Vertex3, 120gb SSD, GForce GTX 560, Cooler Master GX850, Win 7, Logi X 3D Pro.
Hare Posted January 19, 2012 Posted January 19, 2012 How did you finish the CSAR mission (Mission 1)? My downed Viper Driver still won't get picked up by the SAR helo. I orbit til bingo or the MIG's come....any suggestions because the LZ is completely clear when the bird gets there. Stay below 3000 feet msl below radar, at all times and no air threads will come orbit the area from HP - C-sar way point, watch fore ground fire make your wingman and flight RTB.
