effte Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 In real life you have approach plates for all airports you can reasonably expect to use. In them you find all the information you need. I think sources for the plates have been suggested in this forum. Don't despair, you do not have the information a real pilot would need (and have) so it is not surprising that the learning curve appears impossibly steep at times. :) ----- Introduction to UTM/MGRS - Trying to get your head around what trim is, how it works and how to use it? - DCS helos vs the real world.
b101uk Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 I normally get the ILS info off the CDU by going via the divert page when inbound to land.
Wayc00lio Posted May 8, 2011 Posted May 8, 2011 Yep - make sure your mfd is showing the CDU, click Funct then 3 on the UFC, click divert on the CDU and then click the airport you are going to land at. All relevant info can be found there. All relevant info can be found there. Don't you mean FUNC + 2? Maybe you can do it both ways, never tried using 3. If you decide you no longer want to divert and want your original flight plan back then just press FUNC + 7. In single-player and campaigns your net ID should be set to 01 and 01. You access it from the TAD by pressing the OSB next to the word NET. It resets after takeoff so it's best to set this after taking off, it's vital to set this if you want to receive data from JTAC [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] ASUS M4A785D-M Pro | XFX 650W XXX | AMD Phenom II X4 B55 Black Edition 3.2ghz | 4GB Corsair XMS2 DHX 800mhz | XFX HD 5770 1GB @ 850/1200 | Windows 7 64bit | Logitech G35 | Logitech Mx518 | TrackIR 4 My TrackIR Profile ( Speed 1.2 / Smooth 30 ) - Right click & save as.

b101uk Posted May 10, 2011 Posted May 10, 2011 (edited) If you have loaded a divert airfield then with the CDU active on the right MFD, on the UFC (beneath the HUD) press the “FUNC” key then the “7” key (with text “FPLAN” beneath it) to get it back. Edited May 10, 2011 by b101uk
