gharness84 Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 I have been checking out Tigerpwr's youtube tutorials and was wondering how in the hell do you make the hog do these maneuvers? http://www.youtube.com/user/Tigerpwrr#p/u/9/GClfYuaeesE My aircraft doesn't want to get inverted or bank tightly at all. I am assuming it is a flight system that I need to turn off but just cant figure it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated! [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] _______Spreading peace. Kaiza Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Airspeed is life, what speed are you entering them at? [url=http://www.aef-hq.com.au/aef4/forumdisplay.php?262-Digital-Combat-Simulator][SIGPIC]http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/2500/a10161sqnsignitureedite.png[/SIGPIC][/url]
Steel Jaw Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 The Hawg turns like a stuck pig, I wish you luck... ;) "You see, IronHand is my thing" My specs: W10 Pro, I5/11600K o/c to 4800 @1.32v, 64 GB 3200 XML RAM, Red Dragon 7800XT/16GB, monitor: GIGABYTE M32QC 32" (31.5" Viewable) QHD 2560 x 1440 (2K) 165Hz.
EtherealN Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 Kaiza gave one "hint" - airspeed. You must gather speed before doing those maneuvers, since the Hog will bleed your energy like crazy. Another set of very very important variables is weight and drag index. The former is straightforward: the less weapons and fuel you have, the lighter your plane is, and the snappier it will respond. Drag index is a bit more clomplex though - basically, every weapon you have on the plane not only adds weight, it also adds to the resistance againstd airflow - drag. This will cause the plane to accelerate slower and lose speed a lot faster. Try it out with no weapons on board and 30-40% fuel, and then do it again with 100% fuel and a heavy payload. The difference is major. Zenra Posted May 26, 2011 Posted May 26, 2011 My flying is anything but skilled but I never had a problem getting the plane upside down.  Ain't that the truth... Seriously, though, as EtherialN describes make sure you have a clean aircraft. Climb to FL200 and dive for airspeed. You will find the Hawg quite manouverable and even aerobatic, but if you're like me you will also find yourself tumbling from the sky if you're not careful and end up stalling a wing or even breaking one off:doh: Zenra Intel i7 930 2.8GHz; ATI HD5850 1GB; 1TB Serial ATA-II; 12GB DDR3-1333; 24 x DL DVD+/-RW Drive; 800W PSU; Win7-64; TM Warthog HOTAS
gharness84 Posted May 26, 2011 Author Posted May 26, 2011 Ohhhh, I see, these vids are all on clean frames. Thank you! It's so crazy that you really have to consider the flight dynamics at this scale. So pretty much whenever I am down to my GAU-8 rounds and have bled off some fuel I can really turn and burn, unleash the GAU, then RTB to get ready for the next round =) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] _______Spreading peace.
