fourty03 Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 A10 Cuba. That was THE game that started it all for me. Before that I had merely dabbled in flight sims.. :joystick: Also the game that started my love affair with a certain ugly jet. </fond memories thread derailment> :smilewink: YES! I loved it - since I was on a MAC (a 66mhz 68040) and 4gb ram).. I use to love the damage effects the A10 series games had .. breaking landing gears, torn wing.. engine fires.. lol I agree - thread derailment; sorry. Use to have a high polygon count, too. :megalol: vgruk pharmacy
ZaltysZ Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Enhanced DOF could really help with the look inside the pit. Unless you have eye tracking, and DOF effect depends on where you look with your eyes (and not on where came is centered at), DOF will be very unrealistic if applied while playing. REALIN Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Looking forward for DX11, mainly for the fps boost but also for better graphics. The Nevada map looks good aswell. :) Keep up the good work!
Migo Posted July 9, 2011 Posted July 9, 2011 I would be happy if only I could get rid of the annoying stuttering...Get a SSD ! That took all my stuttering away.
Newt Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 So, I've been looking for info on this Nevada map thing but haven't really turned much up. What exactly is the situation with this? Is it just a free flight map made for campaign modders to wip some missions up? On this thread Dx11 is mentioned. Is Nevada a graphically enhanced map? In a nut shell, there's little information on just what this even is. I don't know what I'm supposed to be looking forward to lol Live every week like it's Shark Week. :D

slowhand Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 The Nevada map was in the beta stage of the sim was removed so they could finish it ,what it has is Nellis AFB and the outer ranges which means both Iraq and Afghan missions in the high desert.if you go to youtube and watch early beta clips from the A10 you will see the area and its lay-out. hope that helps..5x5:thumbup::pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] SMOKE'M:smoke: IF YA GOT'M!:gun_rifle: H2o Cooler I7 9700k GA 390x MB Win 10 pro Evga RTX 2070 8Gig DD5 32 Gig Corsair Vengence, 2T SSD. sobek Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Note that the Nevada from beta has very little in common (apart from map area) with what is in store. :D Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!

Migow Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 even with dx9 if the game 3D was made with hardware buffer we could have more than 300 000 vertex i have 300 000 vertex with 5fps ... a 580 can handle 1 000 000 000 triangles / second where are they ^^ with dx11 must have are multitasking and tessellation so we can have better rendering the only problem no card actually can handle 90 000 km² with dynamic lighting :( only pre-rendered (but how much memory we need? hdd ram ...) , we need 400 000 core unified shader to handle dynamic lighting member of 06 MHR / FENNEC Mi-24P
Migo Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I'd be happy with having tesselation as the only new dx11 feature. Tesselated terrain like mountains are great looking. I often think the DCS mountains are way too edgy.
LankNZ Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I often think the DCS mountains are way too edgy. Hmmm edgy. Are you implying the mountains have a mild heroin addiction and very shifty eyes?
