PS watch in 1080p

I must say the quality on thier cockpit is right up there with the A-10c cockpit.

Really looking forward to its release (yea I know its some ways off yet) :)

If I ever get FSX running I'll buy that for sure. Are airliners significantly more complex than a jet like the A10? It just seems...It has so many more buttons!

Intel i7 6700k, Asus GTX1070, 16gb DDR4 @ 3200mhz, CH Fighterstick, CH Pro Throttle, CH Pro Rudder Pedals, Samsung Evo 850 SSD @ 500GB * 2, TrackIR 5 and 27" monitor running at 2560 * 1440, Windows 10.

depends how deep you want to go hehe, if you want to keep it simple you can, I love to get it as close to real as I can. For instance using TOPCAT (its a 3rd party Takoff/Landing calulator designed by real pilots and a real weather program that does its best to add to the immersion. I also use a program called Fs2Crew on most of my aircraft that acts like a First Officer (co-pilot) and will read off checklists and help setting the aircraft up. On the Ifly 737 thats just been released (and some other addons) there is a voice activeated version of Fs2crew that allows you to use you voice to command the First officer to do things like raise and lower the gear and set flaps and so on.

Then there is flight plans, I use only flight plans that have been flown by real aircraft. I use Radar Contact4 for ATC as the default ATC that comes with FSX is awful. But some fly online on VATSIM.

Really depends how complex you want it and how much you can spend on 3rd party addons :).

Unlike combat sims, civilian sims can get boring when in the cruise but thats the reason short haul aircraft as so popular. I mean a 747-400 is not going to make many 1 hour flights in real life, but a 737 is! so the short haulers are popular for that reason.

Im really excited to see what PMDG are doing. Its been along wait but then they would never rush thier product out like some companies do.

Have to agree nothing beats FSX for realism when it comes to ATC, landing/takeoff procedures and civilian traffic.

Doesn't the FSX community even has it's own version of a mmo with people being ATC and pilots flying to their virtual airports? I never really got into FSX because it's not really my cup of tea but when I heard this it got me intrigued.... but not enough to give up combat sims.

Yes VATSIM its called, you have a small client program that connects you to the Vatsim network and you can fly realtime with other pilots and during peak hours you get a real ATC service. There is a radar client for controllers thats like the realthing using voice, but you need to do alot of training to get qualified to do ATC on the system. However you dont need any quailfications to fly. As long as you know how ATC works you can file flightplans and fly them. I few years ago I did an Event called "Cross the Pond" that had full ATC from New York to London, including Oceaninc clearence/position reports. Was at least 200 to 300 other pilots involed :pilotfly:. All flights are tracked here http://www.vataware.com/ so you can see where you have been and what other pilots did.

I have not flown online for at least 6 months but im considering getting back on :)

The add-on is gonna be great, too bad the FPS are still gonna suck large. But just try saying that over at AVSIM, where denial lives Big Time. PMDG shulda done it for XPlane instead. FSuX is a broken dead end.

Well just going by the video alone shows me the FPS will be just fine. I mean the video is smooth as any other addon and they are using FRAPS which takes a whole heap of computing power (at least 10 to15%) yet its still smooth.

I guarantee you they were not using any add-ons of worth in those clips. And FSuX without FPS-hogging add-ons is junk. I know: I spent hundreds on them/

Video looks great! Can't wait for release! This could have been be great tutoring addon for my ATPL course. I guess I will be over with this course before it is released but I will test my knowledge with it for sure.

I wish I will fly 737NG in RL one day ;)

Why then am I getting 30 FPS without stutters WITH add-ons of worth? And the pc that was running in that video also had rex2 running, with other add-ons maybe as well.

Not with a LDS or PMDG jet on the ground at a add-on major airport (example FSDT KJFK) with medium plus AI traffic density (example UT2) you're not. I will get 30+ in the air no sweat. But a major component of FSX play is ground ops.

i get 30fps with REX2/ASE weather/Manchester Scenery from UK2000/Radar Contact4/Ultimate Traffic2. Thats with the Ifly 737 which is a frame rate hog on its own. When loading the MD11 it goes up to around 35fps.

I know i have an i7 but its not overclocked or anything atm (till I get a new cooler) but you really should not be having issues with FPS.

I never got into x-plane anyway its not exactly user friendly, for me there is nothing else atm. It looks like MSFlight is going to be a bit too arcade for my taste going by the Microsoft statment "Appeal to a wider Audience" ie gamers. As for FSX being dead end, no i dont buy that not for a second. There are tons of addons coming fast and I dont see that changing for a while.

When addons of the quaility of LDS/PMDG/Ifly/LH come for x-plane let me know!!!
