awdrgyjo Posted June 15, 2011 Posted June 15, 2011 I have been looking at old posts that say enemies can see you through trees,, is this still the case, and if it has been fixed, will I need a patch or would it already be fixed in a new copy of the sim, thanks.

Conure Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 (edited) Not implemented yet. Nate Which is an absolutely huge shame considering how different the gameplay would be if the trees acted as real objects...manouvering low and ducking through woodland would make the shark my sim of of choice :( As a matter of interest, why is that Rise of Flight manages collide-able trees and DCS doesn't? Is it just considered non critical and as such not much work has been done on it, or is it more to do with differences in the engine/scale of the sim? sobek Posted June 16, 2011 Posted June 16, 2011 or is it more to do with differences in the engine Computing time for collision detection and ground AI maneuver problems are the key aspects, AFAIK. Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two. Come let's eat grandpa! Use punctuation, save lives!
