I should have realized this sooner, but with 1800 kgs more empty weight than the Su-25, the Su-25T has of course a diet problem (I bought my car because its weighed 200 kgs less than my friend's for the same engine power!)

The standard loadouts are WAY to heavy! I now make a habit of loading strictly what I need for a mission (something coalition forces are doing all along): often only 2 Karen missiles, NO air-to-air missiles whatsoever and just the fuel I need for the mission.

If I put my reading glasses on, I even can even skip the Mercury LLTV pod: to bulky and draggy for our new stripped-down athlete!

OK, the plane still could use a couple of Saturn AL-31F turbofan engines, but on a strong diet I must say it is much, much more flyable and henceforth enjoyable!

Yep, I came to the same conclusion - I was loading up all the pylons with big/multiple missiles and full fuel and wondered why whenever I turned I fell out of the sky! Now I tend to go for Vikhrs and cannon pods - the former being deadly the latter pretty useless but great fun! I'm sure 5 x 23mm cannons would be more effective, especially against trucks etc - all I get is a road full of craters! I also wish the various bomb types had better/different explosion modelling ... they all look too similar/small IMHO.

I do the same thing. One thing I've noticed is that certain weapons weight very little while others are extremely heavy. I generally go ahead and fill all the hardpoints but I'm real careful about what I fill them with. My loadout is usually the Vikrs plus some FAB-500's and jammers. The antiradar missles are very heavy so I avoid them if at all possible.
