Dead TM WH throttle!

Step one: Place both on the desk :smartass:

Step two: Remove covers :pilotfly:

Step three: Throttle has no lights:huh:

Step four: Already in preparation for the worst, drag out the laptop. :joystick:

Step five: Diagnosis = Throttle completely dead, stick works

ATM I'm just not sure, should I be sad or pissed off. Going with pissed off, because:

A: Contact the reseller, ship it back and WAIT for another.

B: I wanted to fly DCS A-10 badly and this awaited me! :mad:GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR:mad:

C: I have two days vacation + weekend.

* Throws the helmet on the ground, walking away swearing*

**** IT!

PS: Or to take it from http://www.f-14association.com/stories-17.htm

The day would have been even more memorable if I had been able to play with the Vietnamese MiG-23 Floggers that came out during daylight, but due to an aircraft problem I could only listen to the action on my UHF and watch my buddies' videotapes....

Been there done that... It's a bummer for sure.

I sent mine to thrustmaster for repair, and after about 2 weeks I got a brand new throttle in the mail. They eventually covered my shipping costs.

Before you know it you'll be back in business, but I feel your pain for now

Yeah bummer man, we suffer with you :)

Sorry to hear that. I was starting to think that problem had been dealt with by now, and I honestly felt completely confident that practically none would brick anymore.

If it's any consoliation: your post scared me again. *gently pats throttle*

Think positive though: it's the perfect time to read up on something perhaps. In any case, I hope you get it sorted fast so you can get back into the air.

4000 something serial number. Bought it in March. To be totally fair, I do not think it's the unit's fault. I wasn't using it for about two-three days now, and few days ago, the entire place here had some weird electricity problems.

That could very well be the problem, but it may be too late now. If you return it and get another one.....update the firmware.

You have a few weeks before you get it back, hopefully sooner. Hope you have something to do in the meantime.

Yep... i live on a 60M2 apartment, weren t i on financial restrictions till new orders, i would have build a pit she would have liked because it would have saved space for more shelves...

And womens need space... Damn they need it.

Take measures and start playing with googlesketch (or whatever) you might be surprised with how much you can achieve with 1m40cm long and 1 m wide.

(And those measures aren t for mower' s mind!) :D

A pit can be something as simples as having yourself, your screen and hotas on a confortable and ergonomic position so your flight get more pleasant and precise.
