leafer Posted July 2, 2011 Posted July 2, 2011 Nothing silly so I'm not looking for site like cracked or anything of that nature. Not that I'm anal but those sites are a dime a dozen. I am interested in technology, space and exploration, interesting discovery, politics, uncensored news, listener sponsered news, etc. A site to watch interesting cartoon and animation like Clone Wars. But please, no Rush Limbaugh or FOX News cronies. ED have been taking my money since 1995. :P
Avilator Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 The only "news" site I frequent is AVweb. You can find some pretty interesting aerospace tech news from the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, or AIAA, and their publication called Aerospace America. And for casual listening I pull up the LiveATC feeds for KBOS, which is the closest "interesting" airport to me. I only respond to that little mechanical voice that says "Terrain! Terrain! Pull Up! Pull Up!" Who can say what is impossible, for the dream of yesterday is the hope of today and the reality of tomorrow. -Robert Goddard "A hybrid. A car for enthusiasts of armpit hair and brown rice." -Jeremy Clarkson "I swear by my pretty floral bonet, I will end you." -Mal from Firefly
J. Heller Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Hmm, my buddies in Yucaipa, CA run this site. I'm close friends with all the Loaded Garage guys. Brandon who runs the space agancy thing is cool too. Nothing fantastic here but there is some good music to the satellites orbiting on infared camera and stuff. EtherealN Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 For tech my favourite is techreport.com. I do often end up on other sites as well, but usually through the news stories on techreport (they often link to interesting pieces on other sites.) Aside from that my surfing is pretty standard. I'd definitely recommend TEDtalks though: http://www.ted.com/talks [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
monotwix Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 I use google.com frequently in combination with you tube, I watch cartoons on this site and I’m a cartoon fan and I’ve seen many episodes of futurama. That’s where the Dr. Michio Kaku gets his ideas for making Si-Fi science programs for Discovery Channel before 9pm. I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
monotwix Posted July 3, 2011 Posted July 3, 2011 Niels Bohr vs. Einstein. I would like to see proper programs. There are some serious flows in my understanding about rock&roll and reggae. However if the light wave travels at the same speed as gravitational wave what then? They don’t do they? I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully.
hassata Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 Believe it or not, Rense.com is a good clearing house for news. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
