Well if you walk into a store all things you see should be for sale, so if you want them and have the money for them you can have them :)

The difference here, for me at least, is when you see someone making something and it takes work to make multiple copies of it (what ever the person is making) then I don't expect that person to want to share as sharing in this case would mean spending time to make one for you... with 3D models, mods for games etc, it's different as you don't need to spend any extra work if you want to share... you just share what you have already.

Maybe we are too spoiled here as many mods people make they are shared for free so most assume when they see someone make a new mod/model and unless they say otherwise, they will do the same, and I'm guilty of it also :D

so no hard feelings here :)

Try another example... you don't barge into an art gallery and demand the attendant take a piece off the wall and gift wrap it for you. This isn't a store nor an auction... just a display of someone's hard work (in the 3D Modeling forum, no less) that many of us enjoy seeing in its own right.

The problem remains that you expect that you be given something just because it's on the internet.

He was just saying that many/most mod makers here offer their mods for free. They do it to improve the game and because they like it. It's there mod and they can do whatever they want. I'm glad there are people that make them for free at the start. Good luck on the mod guys.

I agree with " Cali " on this one..if it wasn't for the " Modders " maybe this sim would have been dead long ago..but with the interest the " Modders " put into their preferred Models..DCS decided to go two or three steps forward and dev the " Blackshark " and the " DCS A10 HOG "...if they choose to not to distribute it, its their choice..nothing wrong with posting what their squadron Flight Models looks like..and I am sure at some time it might be release to the public..

Great Job Well Done Work DCS Modders

Ive been waiting for the days of a Red Arrows simulator ever since....Red Arrows Simulator for the Spectrum.

Sure I only paid 1.99 for it, and it was worth every penny.

There can be another angle to flight simulators other than war and commercial, but as an ooccasional player, a single player 'air show' simulator where you get points, promoted, invited and can post on line is a nice added element that I think FC could add with little probs.

Actually, 2 of my favourite airshow performances (i am english) were of an Airbus doint the high AOA manouver about 100ft off the deck and a Nimrod.

Wouldnt take anything away from the fast jets and Red Arrows, just really clever throwing a A380 around!

DOH!!

Sorry Mr Burns and I'm sure you get that a lot lol

I remember seeing the A380 at Farnborough and my jaw hit the floor with that high AOA turn straight after take off.

Anywho back on topic, there is a Virtual Red Arrows public mod available (see link in previous post).

I have also now got a replacement graphics card for my phantom server and will aim to get that up and running this weekend.

However, my laptop phantom is on most nights and if not just PM me and I'll stick it on if I'm home.

Thanks for comments guys
