Black Sheep Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Hi ladies, at this moment, I fly sims using a 23" lcd. I have also a 22" lcd connected to a second computer. I was thinking about getting another 22" lcd and use all three (22"-23"-22") for flying FC2 (I'd get a card supporting eyefinity). All three monitors are 1920*1080. Are there particular issues related to different dimensions (1") of the 3 monitors? do you think the difference will be so noticeable while playing? keep in mind I use TrackIR (4). Thanks in advance Black Sheep
PeterP Posted August 5, 2011 Posted August 5, 2011 Sorry - I'm not a lady but I try to answer anyway! :D: 22"-23"-22" is very negligible in my point of view. You will be mostly concentrate your eyes at the midle monitor and the side monitors provide a plus of phenomenal peripheral vision and situation awareness. - something you don't want to miss again once having made experience with it. - so I could live with this little drawbacks if I where you. - but it highly depends how picky you are about this small vertical non-alignment! - talking about being picky- check this thread for reverence what you also have to deal with and running the monitors in portrait is maybe also a option for you: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=77955 When you want to eliminate the non-alignment fully you have to use SoftTH. But this could also trigger some new problems... Check this thread for reverence: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=76798
Black Sheep Posted August 5, 2011 Author Posted August 5, 2011 Thanks for help: a lot of things to know, to set and to test. I didn't know that setting up a multi-monitor system was so complicated. Anyway I'm quite sure that a 1" difference will be not so noticeable: probably the key will be "let's stop thinking about it". 1
P1KW Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Hello. The size difference does not affect. is very small. May disturb the reading text strings. With a card Eyefinity, the Configuration is very simple. I recommend, portrait mode, and aligning monitors at the bottom, is better than the top due to the cockpit instruments. Lanscape mode is too wide, it is unnatural. Greetings. "If adventure is dangerous, try the routine. It is deadly." Paulo Coelho.
AtaliaA1 Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 I thought you had to use the same type of monitors in that kind of setup. Has that changed? I combine 22" and 24" with a setup ATI Eyefinity. Greetings. "If adventure is dangerous, try the routine. It is deadly." Paulo Coelho.
