Nate--IRL-- Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 Sound engine was completely rebuilt and now includes surround sound among other things. NVGs should be fixed I think. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
enigma6584 Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 NVGs should be fixed I think. Nate They are much better and actually now useful in a night mission. It is going to be fun.:)
RvETito Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 Engines and gearbox oil pressure indicators are broken. Now pressure build-up starts at ~30% compressor RPM which is not normal. Pilot is not allowed to open the cut-off valve if there is no positive indication of oil pressure during crank. It should be at least 0.5 bars at dry motoring and about 2 bars at idle. At all other flight conditions it should be between 3.5 - 4 bars. Now it stabilizes at about 2.5 - 2.7 bars which is too low. Same goes for the gearbox. In BS1 this works normal. "See, to me that's a stupid instrument. It tells what your angle of attack is. If you don't know you shouldn't be flying." - Chuck Yeager, from the back seat of F-15D at age 89. =RvE=

They are not broken totally or in logic, just the pointers are a little misplaced. You can see, they are below 0 by default and start to show pressure soon you start the engine up. Written to bug db. Vecko Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 - INU drift is not represented in simulation, also INU FIX point update does not do anything... - Moving map works just perfect even if satellite coverage is manualy disabled .ABRIS with "NAV ERROR" will work better then with ,let's say, 3 feeding satellites. Impression is that ABRIS is updated from INU(with no drift) and , if i remember good, it should not be like that.(track file attached -"abris.trk") Yep! I've made a huge post with tracks on the Tester's forum and I've got one bug report submitted. I'm just waiting for someone (hopefully Yo-Yo) to get back to me to see if my conclusions are sound. In a nutshell, I have an issue with the rotor system, basically boiling down to some combination of energy, drag, and lift. The engine power itself looks right. It's not the engines at idle that are causing any issues (in my opinion), but rather the rotor system. Maybe the rotor is just too "efficient", I'm not sure, I'm hoping to get some more input from the devs. Until then, I'll do more research in-game and "in-book" and if necessary I'll do more testing, and provide more tracks. The best takeaway here is that the issue is not being ignored. What about this major bugs Nate? Nothing? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Virtual Aerial Operations
GGTharos Posted November 3, 2011 Posted November 3, 2011 INU drift is simply not implemented. This is not a bug. A bug is something that does not work as intended. INU drift is a feature that just never made it in. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
Nate--IRL-- Posted November 3, 2011 Author Posted November 3, 2011 INU drift is feature that may be implemented in time, if there is time. I believe Olgard has posted about this somewhere. As for the Idle engine power thing - I honestly don't know. I'll ask. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
Erforce Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 Nate, please Nate, designate a Moderator to create a summary, because it's tedious to read pages of bugs/wish/comments... you will see sooner or later repeting bugs, which will inflate this thread artificially. SO [bUG] : Heavy BUGS with Carrier group (USA at least) - Hudge free-fall zones around the carrier (where the elevators are supposed). go from the tarmac to underwater in no time ! - Traffic jam and invisible ground still on carrier with heavy operation undergoing, example : Ask 4 F-14 to takeoff, then 4 F/A-18 to land with another spawn of 4 CH-47 starting up. the F-18 lands before the chopper leaves (so after F-14 departure) and will SLOWLY drift on the left side(not the tower) over the sea at the end of the runway. but they won't fall. All fighters where "parked "over the sea, with some of them damaged (too close) I know it was "almost" perfect with 1.02 and russians carriers. If you want more details, i'll try to re-edit and post the mission file tomorrow for you. PS (some previous post) : the Neutrashimy landing pad was not very well made even with 1.02, but you can land on it and set triggers properly anyway. it's just eyecandy. no damage to the BS. P.P.S. : still GUI user manual page 106 : "PINPOIONT STRIKE" come on, that is not serious ^^ P.P.P.S. : when the game crash it says : DCS A-10C crashed... hmmmm pretty sure i bought BlackShark2 :D Good luck :smartass: TASK / ROLES acronyms guide Black Shark A.I. datalink guide illustrated (v1.2.4 Available on Wiki) DCS World Codex 1.1 : full units list (Speed/Weapons/Armor thickness/Threat zone/Weapon damage...) LostOblivion Posted November 4, 2011 Posted November 4, 2011 There is a bug in BS2 where groups having names with periods in them will always have the GroupDead rule evaluate to true. I suspect this is also the case for the other rules working with groups, e.g. PartOfGroupInZone does not work with such names either. Lost Nice plane on that gun...
