Iceman2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 Just installed newest version of game and much to do when I had user mods installed. Pity I need to start from scratch. Most important question I have for now is, can I just use my old keyboard.lua file, since I have my own key bindings there? Are there new keybindings?
HiJack Posted August 29, 2011 Posted August 29, 2011 The only senisble thing to do dealing with upgrades of ED's sims is to write down a list with all the changes you do to key mappings and do them over if you go to a new version. Have always worked that way for me without messing things up. (HJ)
Aircav1980 Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Transferring keybindings Hello, I have been playing the release version of DCS and would like to take advantage of some of cool new stuff in the beta version. Problem is I have spent hours getting my keybindings just the way I want them. Is there a way to transfer them straight across without having to manually rebind them? How long does it usually take for something to go from beta to release. I am itching to try the Mavericks in the F/A-18C!
Yurgon Posted November 24, 2018 Posted November 24, 2018 Is there a way to transfer them straight across without having to manually rebind them? It's usually enough to copy Saved Games\DCS\Config\Input\{Modulename} over to Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config\Input How long does it usually take for something to go from beta to release. I am itching to try the Mavericks in the F/A-18C! Depends. A week, half a week, a couple of weeks, nothing is set in stone.
