ArtMan_NL Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 Hi Guys, Hope somebody can solve my problem. Please see my trackfile. I just fly a route and want to turn the autopilot on. Whatever I do the ka-50 won't follow the desired track. What do I wrong? Same issue with the automatic turn. I engage some tanks with the vikhr but I have to manually keep the circle on the target while I have switched on the automatic turn button. I did everything to solve the problem en read the manual several times. Unfortunately I can't find a clue to solve my problem. Thanks a lot in advance for any help AutomaticTurnProblem.trk
ArtMan_NL Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 I think I found myself the answer for the autopilot problem :poster_oops: I just have to press [R] ..... Hmm, anyway still have problems with autoturn...
enigma6584 Posted August 30, 2011 Posted August 30, 2011 I don't see what problems you are having with the autoturn. It looked to me that the helicopter was indeed facing the right direction with your auto-turn to target button pressed. The only thing I can hazard to guess is that you think the auto-turn to target means the system will line up the targeting pipper with the target. If so, that is incorrect. You must manually move the targetting pipper over the locked target in order to get a "shoot cue." The auto-turn-to-target only points the aircraft in the direction of the locked target.
ArtMan_NL Posted August 30, 2011 Author Posted August 30, 2011 Thanks for your help. After a long search I found my answer. I had the game mode controls option on :( That switch off automatic turn. Now I understand that easy flying as well. Switching this off and the world turns upside down :joystick:

WildBillKelsoe Posted August 31, 2011 Posted August 31, 2011 you should try doing a missile lock with at off... And in sim mode.. Trust me, it's gonna rock you.. spikenet Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 The auto-turn-to-target only points the aircraft in the direction of the locked target. I've often wondered why it is always a couple of degree's off the actual target. Is it by design? Surely it has the capability to put you bang on target and give a fire solution?

Surely it has the capability to put you bang on target and give a fire solution? Because its center the nose direction with the target, the missile launch symbology is a bit off-center depending on which wing the missile will be fired from. If the ripple length switch is set to long (2 missile per shot) the reticule will be centered. It could also be caused by a badly trimmed aircraft and wind.
