Evil.Bonsai Posted September 1, 2011 Posted September 1, 2011 After trying one of the easy missions more than a few times (defend yankee base) and having some difficulty, I have a few questions. I've seen a decent mission youtube vid where 'anchor here' was used. This seemed to be a 'standoff' rally position, as it was about 10-15 miles from where the targets were. Does the wingman actually circle that point until directed otherwise? As mentioned regarding standoff, is this a usual technique? I googled 'anchor standoff CAS' but found zero info. Are there any basic CAS technique tutorials anywhere? I think I got the idea that what I was doing is wrong (in the yankee base mission, flying to base, then trying to find targets when I'm on top of them), but would like to find some reading/tubes of proper setup and execution.

Evil.Bonsai Posted September 1, 2011 Author Posted September 1, 2011 (edited) I need a tablet...I've got about 30 pdfs in a folder (and subs) on my desktop. Well, I DID just buy new ink cartridges.... SIGH. And thanks. I saw that link, but thought it was mostly just tech info, not tactics or technique. I did just order the gulf war hogs book. WARNING: the 'a10a guide' in the above link just tried to install malware. Might want to remove it, mods. Edited September 1, 2011 by Evil.Bonsai
