JEFX Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Thanks for asking, thats really too bad... I think that one of the great thing about this community (and I am proudly part of it since almost the beginning), is the fantastic generosity from everybody. Sharing documents, experiments, results, experiences, and even sheer real-life knowledge like our friend Paulrkiii, helping out people, etc... this is what makes this community strong and very different from mainstream gaming forums... (and the generosity of presence and listening starts with the very DEVs themselves... a very rare team of people). anyways... sad [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] In DCS I fly jets with thousands of pounds of thrust... In real life I fly a humble Cessna Hawx XP II with 210 HP :D
Frostiken Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Ask 'management' if they've ever downloaded any free guides from the community... [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
159th_Viper Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 .....(I really would have loved if all ranges and altitudes of engagements were given for all units...) I'll shake some trees and see what falls out.........no promises though :) Novice or Veteran looking for an alternative MP career? Click me to commence your Journey of Pillage and Plunder! 74th_Lunatic Posted September 18, 2011 Posted September 18, 2011 Management sounds selfish. Keeping that kind of information to yourself is what's wrong with gaming communities. Share that stuff for the benefit of everyone, especially in a small niche like flight sims, otherwise you certainly come off as a jerk. Sorry but is that a personal insult? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

Heli Shed Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Guys, The reason why i said no at the time was that i was smack bang in the middle of sorting out our millions of documents at the time. There were all in one area of the site that also incorporated our own SOP's / SOI's. As you can see from 74th_Lunatic's post, I have now created a seperate Doc pack area for all members of the DCS community who frequent our site or who 'pop along'. Please also note, that appropriate credit is given to authors who are outside of my influence as a member of the 74th. These authors have been approached by me for permission to use their documents in this public way. There are more documents being added over the next couple of weeks, but to be frank, of every 10 i see, 1 is worth keeping and not blatant plageurism (or however you spell it) from some others hard work, with no mention of credit. I have been a victim of that on many levels, from basic missions, videos and documents, to a complete 'Training Academy' whilst flying as a Flight Instructor with the 104th. I've been about a bit fellas, and I have always done what is right for the majority in this VERY small community of ours. I hope the 'majority' of you know that. To the remainder.......................................... 'T' Come pay us a visit on YouTube - search for HELI SHED
