hassata Posted December 21, 2011 Posted December 21, 2011 AFAIK VAC doesn't recognize Direct X inputs. You need to use an intermediry such as Hotkey. http://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Hotkeys.htm [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
spikenet Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 Fish, thanks for the great tutorial for VAC, you sold me on it! I've just come across a major problem with my VAC, was working perfectly with a tweeked Fish profile, then for no apparent reason it wont recognise speech correctly now. Just gives me F5's etc and nothing like I am saying. My voice broke 30 years ago so that cant be it! :) Anyone had this problem? I tried re-installing an older version of VAC but still the same.. possibly Microsoft speech part broken??
jib Posted January 24, 2012 Posted January 24, 2012 yeah I had a similar problem, I think it is a bug, if I remember correctly it didn't like having numerical numbers in the command name eg "5" try chaning it to "five" and see if it fixed it. It did for me. Mods I use: KA-50 JTAC - Better Fire and Smoke - Unchain Rudder from trim KA50 - Sim FFB for G940 - Beczl Rocket Pods Updated! Zeke Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Just getting back into DCS A10 and had my own very simple VAC profile that I used. Saw yours and checked it out..... All I can say is 'FREAKING AWESOME!' Great job!! and THANKS!
Ghanja Posted June 26, 2012 Posted June 26, 2012 I am having a strange problem with VAC. I downloaded the profile that Fish offers and everything works fine when I test it in VACBuilder. When I switch over to the game it seems that VAC does not "understand me" that good anymore. I order my wingman to attack ground targets and he wants to return to base (or something similar). Is there anything I have to set up yet? [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] .:: My System ::. .:: My Paintings ::.

After you have been in VAC builder, you have to 'switch on' vac again. If you right click the taskbar icon, click the 'VAC On' option. (the first image is what it looks like when ON). Thud20 Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 Did you get this worked out? Trying to get this to work with my Warthog Hotas but I can't get an activator button to work. VAC is setup to use the "backspace" button as the activate button, and I have assigned S4 (pinkie lever) on my Warthog to come out as backspace, but when I'm in the game nothing happens. If I test it outside of the game and physically hold the backspace button, it works fine. Any ideas? I'm having the same problem with the Warthog.
WildBillKelsoe Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Pro tip: in windows sound, make sure you are 20-25 if you're using a headset with mic (voice capture Levels). Experiment voice recognition because I had problem with similar words in the "Say" option for each command. Then I discovered through audacity that mic was loud. I toned down now produce consistent results. And do not use mic booster. Also, make sure you give short commands with proper English.
