Fish Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Ive just been trying some training with Laser guided weapons in the Su25T. I launched a single KH25, an wow and behold, the aircraft after a judder, lurched to the side opposite launhched rack. I got it flying level by adding some rudder trim. I came around on target again, and released the next KH25, and same again, aircraft was out of trim. Returned the rudder trim to center position (using the green trim center light), and all was well again. Nice work ED. SUBS17 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Try using autopilot on your ingress, seems to compensate well. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Prophet_169th Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Just to clarify, I think SUB17 means the alt+roll autopilot. Not full auto-pilot =)
Rastus Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 I have programmed "Level flight" (Alt 3) & "Autopilot disengage" (Alt 9) into my joystick. During the egress from the danger area (usually once my laser is too hot) I use it to re-trim the aircraft ready for the next run into the target. Works for me, & and on the joystick, its quick & easy to use.
SUBS17 Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Just to clarify, I think SUB17 means the alt+roll autopilot. Not full auto-pilot =) No I mean't full auto pilot, by pressing A, but then it does the same thing. If you stabilise image or lock target and then press A the autopilot automatically lines up on the selected target. Good for high level CCRP and Gunpods. A good drill is to loc target 1, autopilot, throttle 40%, fire KH29T, loc target 2, Fire KH29T, TGT3 vihkr, TGT4 vihkr. In one pass multiple targets can be destroyed. [sIGPIC] [/sIGPIC]
Prophet_169th Posted August 28, 2005 Posted August 28, 2005 Now that I didnt know SUB17, thanks for the tip.
