Deadman Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) If there is some interest in knobs I will look in to casting some in clear resin to keep the cost down. I would just offer them cast any painting would be done by the purchaser. Here is the list of knobs i have the Items in red i have not found yet but will. reactorone Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 +1 For all according to the price of course. Regards, ReactorOne
Deadman Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 I did a quick cont separating the double stacked knob sets on some panels. The count came to 69 knobs ( I may be off a knob or two ) lets just use $4.00 as an example 69 X $4.00 equals $276.00 a complete set. now is that a reasonable starting point? +1 For all according to the price of course. danipelos Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I would only be interested in the knobs needed to complete the three radio panels, the fuel panel, the CMS panel, the CDU panel, the lightning panel and the ILS and TACAN panels.
danipelos Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 I would also like to know if you have the L/G and A/R door handles.
reactorone Posted November 11, 2011 Posted November 11, 2011 ok, if the quality is there. It's been about € 200 + shipping for France. I ordered a guy's buttons F16 resin and the resin was stained light gray superb! I'll put pictures of the result of my panels. I just added in scotch small black and white stripes, but the color of the buttons is colored resin. I did a quick cont separating the double stacked knob sets on some panels. The count came to 69 knobs ( I may be off a knob or two ) lets just use $4.00 as an example 69 X $4.00 equals $276.00 a complete set. now is that a reasonable starting point?
Deadman Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 Yes I have the landing gear handle and the Air Refuel Control Lever The gray lever labeled RCVR I would also like to know if you have the L/G and A/R door handles. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Deadman Posted November 11, 2011 Author Posted November 11, 2011 (edited) reactorone I am not sure i understand you. The knobs would be clear so they could be back lit if the purchaser so chooses to do so Edited November 12, 2011 by Deadman https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Dropship Pilot Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 I'd be in for a full set. :) Cheers, Stefan

avlolga Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Deadman what about same thread for "Who is intrested in full switching set" with some modifications: * some will be with Looking. * Shift lever must be minimum 15mm (17mm will be great) * All Sw are momentary ON/ON and ON/ON/ON SPDT. i got some sw for testing and i will like buying full switching set as well (but not mil, they too expensive) do you think Switching thread can be done too? Avi

Gadroc Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Hey Deadman. I'm laying out my CMSP panel and was wondering what is the distance between the center of the CMSP mode knob and the tip that points to the mode label. I need to get my back light window placed and text spaced appropriately. Do you know of any spec sheets which set standards for this? It also looks like in game this switch is a 36 degree throw, do you know if that is correct? Thanks for your help.
Deadman Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 The CDU panel dose not have any Knobs only buttons the cost of producing a CDU panel may be to expensive for you guys. I would only be interested in the knobs needed to complete the three radio panels, the fuel panel, the CMS panel, the CDU panel, the lightning panel and the ILS and TACAN panels. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
danipelos Posted November 13, 2011 Posted November 13, 2011 Actually I meant the panel between the CDU and the TACAN panel, the one with 2 knobs and 2 switches used to control the CDU.
Deadman Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 I don't Have a CMSP(EWMU) Panel I have been looking for one for over a year now. I don't have a spec on that panel but some good pics and drawings. The photo-etch site has the best pic IMO there is some distortion but no knobs or switches to get in the way. http://www.photo-etch.com/EWMU%20with%20Caution%20Stripes.html I think the switch is a pull to get out of off if you scoped it out to 36 deg it would be in line with a 10 position rotary switch with 5 active positions possibly a 42D36-02-2-AJN Grayhill rotary. The Flat top locking toggles switches I do have are the 12TW1-50M, MS 27754-5M .The jet switch is an 8857K45 MS25125-C3. but if you use it with the drawing from the F-16 MLU manual you should be able to scale it out just remember light plates are a couple of hundreds of an inch smaller than the back plate http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b58/RGPeters/EWMU.jpg https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
Deadman Posted November 13, 2011 Author Posted November 13, 2011 Ok a quick look in the manual and i think you mean the Auxiliary Avionics Panel (AAP) Actually I meant the panel between the CDU and the TACAN panel, the one with 2 knobs and 2 switches used to control the CDU. https://forum.dcs.world/topic/133818-deadmans-cockpit-base-plans/#comment-133824 CNCs and Laser engravers are great but they can't do squat with out a precise set of plans.
