EtherealN Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 This is over my head as far as knowing the nuts and bolts go, but I would guess that it is due to the re-implementation of the cockpit in EDM format - would be a too big job since you have to do it basically from scratch (with very little gain) again and make sure it also operates properly with the self-shadowing features. enigma6584 Posted November 12, 2011 Posted November 12, 2011 Yep, makes sense and frankly I find it no big deal. And I used to fly with the pilot on all the time. With all the new stuff added with BS2...I don't even think about it anymore.

For me it is one of the most important graphical features in the games.. looking down and seeing no legs just sucks big time. I'd much prefer to have a pilot that was invisible to shadows than no pilot at all!!
