Hello,

Sorry for my poor English.

Even with a reinstall, the "Aircraft Startup" training mission (version 1.1.1.0.) seems to have a problem with roll and throttle from the g940 (and not yaw and pitch!). I cannot complete the training then, because of the idle position starting the engines.

With the same profile, I can fly without any problem other training missions, or single player missions.

I tried to search forums for a similar problem, but I didn't find anything.

What could be done?

Thanks a lot.

What you are saying is that you can not turn on the engines?

Do you mean moing the throttle from off to idle?

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Exactly. Since only the yaw (rudder) and pitch (joy) are "recognized" by the game in this particular mission, my throttle axis are inoperative. Therefore, I cannot move it to idle position.

BTW, all buttons are functional (throttle and joy included).

You do not have a HOTAS Warthog and as such will not be able to move the throttles from off to idle - you need to use the keyboard for that.

Oh, ok for the idle position.

It doesn't solve the problem, anyway, because I already tried to use the keyboard input to move to idle without any further progression of the training. The main problem is that I can't see any movement of the stick and the throttle in the cockpit when I move them IRL, even if I checked "synchronize HOTAS controls at the beginning of a mission" in the options menu.

So, do you think that the "Aircraft startup" training mission does not use the HOTAS movement in all its duration, and that it's intended? It seems odd...

If your throttle is at 0 you can move the ingame throttle from OFF to IDLE.

If your joystick throttle is HIGHER than 0 you can not do it though... As far as I know. Correct me ifI am wrong.

So try that. Hold down numpad minus for a few seconds to make sure your input is at zero. Then try to start the engines.

Also press RCTRL + ENTER to activate the input monitoring. Make sure your throttle there is at zero.

Well, well... I feel a little dumb. :music_whistling:

When I actually "moved" the left throttle to idle (with LALT+HOME), my left throttle was taken into account in the cockpit. Same thing with the right one. And THEN, the roll was also effective (as I could then see the movement of the stick in the cockpit). Is it because of the "hydraulic" powering of the stick? I could finish the training lesson. Thanks.

Anyway, I still don't understand why the stick and the throttle do not move "right from the start", "right from the cold start" in the simulation when I move them in real life. Any ideas?

Due to the fact that they are in the 'off' position In-SIM. The HOTAS Warthog is made in such a way that you have to physically lift it from the 'off' position over the detent to get it into the idle position. You cannot do it with any other HOTAS system.
