Like one of the commenters on that site said: highly unlikely. They probably have enough to be a pretty serious threat, but 150k? Not likely. :P

 

(That commenter seems to forget the Shahab/Nodong missiles though, and all the others they have under development/initial production/etc that I don't remember the name of.)

This right here simply tells you this "threat" to Israel is fake. I especially like how they display a picture of 3 HAWK missiles and not something designed for long range surface to surface. Iran has to import gasoline because they can't make it themselves. Do you really think they can launch 150,000 missiles simultaneously? I think somebody fell asleep when typing the number "150".;)

Well, it's not the Jerusalem post that says Iran has those missiles, it is Iran that says it. ;)

Whether we believe the statement is an other thing.

Do you seriously expect a general journalist to know anything about missile systems? I wouldn't be surprised if the editor just went "hm, interesting piece, let's have archive department find us some missiles on a pic". (Though apparently it was actually REUTERS that chose the picture, NOT J-Post. Might want to work on your digging before you slam something. :P )

 

Interesting how some will mostly trust Reuters, but not J-Post. Cognitive dissonance when they're saying the same thing (which is common - J-Post purchases news from Reuters just like everyone else, and quite often does the same re-prints with minor edits as everyone else does. It's how news media works.)

That's only true in the same way it would be true to say "the USA has to import gasoline because they can't make it themselves. In actual fact, Iranian gasoline production is up - they have been increasing their capacity. They are still a net importer of gasoline, but so is the united states. Be careful about throwing stones in glass houses. ;)

Actually, no. Re-read the article. As mentioned, the source is an actual Iranian statement. Whether the statement is a bit baghdad bob is the question. ;)

 

Don't discount a statement just because of who relayed it, that's just as silly as accepting a statement based only on who relayed it. There are more sources relaying this information. :)

Actually close, but even worse: "Made in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea". ;)
