My bench was in A10. You took me to a forum with a BS 2 track, and you asked me to add to the thread. That being the case, I only thought it appropriate to concisely share my results than to change the subject or comment on something I have no experience with. While I do not support Obama, I'm not sure how that plays into the apparent miscommunication here.

I changed my trusty old Geforce GTX 460 for a new (way too big, loud and power hungry...) GTX 580 and redid the test. You can find my old settings here.

 

1920x1200, Core i7 920 3.2 GHz, Win7 64 Bit, 6 GB RAM, Geforce GTX 580 and TrackIR 4.

 

A: 45 --> 48

B: 40 --> 43

C: 38 --> 42

A slight increase. But if I am flying around in a training mission it feels a lot more smooth now. Feels more like the old Black Shark 1 now.

I OC'ed my Core i7 920 from the previous post a bit more, from 3.2 GHz to 3.8 GHz. No real surprise here, but I wanted to post it anyways, maybe this will help someone in the future.

This would help alot for me to get started tweaking some things,thanks all.

At the moment I am actually using no special Nvidia control panel settings for Black Shark. Although for most games I force Anisotropic Filter to 16, as AF is the one setting that improves visual quality the most.

 

Some safe settings I would suggest:

 

• Anisotropic Filter: 16x
  
• AA Mode: Overwrite or enhance application settings (try enhance first)
  
• AA: pick one, 4x would be a good start
  
• AA Transparancy: pick one
  

I suggest looking for an in-depth guide and read what the other settings do, but this is usually a good start. But try fiddling with the ingame settings first. And make screenshots to compare your settings.

 

Regarding V-Sync: IMHO you should enable V-Sync only if you know what it does and, most impotantly, if your FPS are 99% of the time above 60. If not leave it off.

But I can tell you, that there is no difference between new and old Black Shark (in my case)

I make no claims of knowing anything about how it works, I just do it and enjoy.
