SU25T Training Mission and Lasing for Rockets

Hello, in the SU25T training mission for guns and rockets, it says to lase the target for accuracy before firing rockets. This confused me as I know rockets don't have any guidance system. Why is the training mission instructing to lase the target for rockets? Any insight appreciated. Thanks.

IIRC it suggests lasing the target to get a more accurate range measurement.

Off hand I can't remember about guns mode. It's definately covered in the relevent training mission though.....Maybe I better go back and look at it myself as well.

with gunpods you can lase them to a target and they will point down and fire so you can remain in level flight over the target and out of harms way

Yes, it increases accuracy of the guns by giving a more accurate range. Same applys to using bombs, unguided rockets etc[everything except the KH29T and KH58]. Same with the Su25.
