Before I purchase this update I would like to know, wether I can fly it. I had to delete BS from my disc, because I couldnt center my rudder. As it was not possible to exclude the rudder from the trim function, the rudder had maximum deflection after 2-3 trim clicks.

Does anyone know, wether this has been adressed in BS2 ?

You got the problem exactly right:

"Problem :

Without FFB rudders (Are there any?!) you have to readjust you physically position of you rudders every time you trim. Because trimming adds input to your current rudder position. This is not every time very helpfully and can lead to uncontrollable turning and finally in a crash.... if you are not watching your feet carefully each time you trim.

One well known example:

You are flying with 250Km/h straight forward and have to add constant rudder to eliminate the natural behaviour of the Ka-50 to turn a little on high velocity.

- You want to trim you cyclic a little froward to relax your hand - you hit the trim button ... and your rotors clash - just because you forgot to readjust your feet :

the trim plus your current position of your feet was too much rudder input for your rotor blades...sad.gif

They should have treated it as a bug from the beginning. In the real Ka50 the trim does not work like that. If it would, all had crashed in the meantime.

The trim only reduces the force on the rudder pedals - but we dont have force on our computer rudder pedals. To center rudder pedals with the trim button on the stick is ridiculous.

It would have been a programming work of 5 minutes for the devs to install the option to exclude the rudder from the trim function.

PS: i have simped pedals and cant use your workaround.

It's not a real KA-50, it is a sim that has to use all kinds of different controller devices, of which 99% have a center detent. To use a center detent, the BS trim works the way it has to. It is not a bug. It requires a practiced techique that not everyone likes.

Read further in this instruction and use the autohotkey solution - this will solve your Problems.

@ PeterP Thanks, i´ll give that a try.

@Smil Can you explain, what the benefit of that rudder trim is, if you don´t have any significant force on the rudder pedals ?

Don´t get me wrong: the trim for the FFB Stick is perfect. It´s just the rudder what spoils it. You are right, it is a computer sim. But why not make it as real as possible ? In the real heli you never have the rudder centered. No matter what type.
