Zzenith Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 There are 3 views in the cockpit that i like using but I need to hold the keys down in order for the views to stay on screen. The views in question are 1. The zoom in on the hud ( Keypad 0 + Keypad 5 ) 2. The zoom in on the left and right MFCD's ( Keypad 0 + Keyapd 4 or 5) I find it a pain that I have to keep Keypad 0 held down for these views to remain active any way round this. Or am I doing something wrong. All help appreciated thanks
FreeFall Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 If you wanna toggle, first press [RCtrl] + [Keypad Zero]. Then for example [Keypad 5].
JCook Posted January 8, 2012 Posted January 8, 2012 I've reprogrammed all my snapviews based on what others have mentioned in the forums. From IVANWFR's post here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=69395&highlight=snap+views You can redefine all of KP0-KP9 snap views this way: Adjust some Cockpit FOV Hit LWIN KP# snap view numpad key Hit RALT KP0 to redefine this snap view ...done I've used this simple technique and it works nicely. Use your trackIR or keyboard to get the view you want Press both the Left-Win key and the Keypad # you want to assign the view to. Then press Right-Alt key to save that snap view. Then to get into snap views Right-Ctrl and keypad 0 and then the keypad # for then snap view you want. I've assigned my snap views as follows: Left console kp1: Radios kp4: basically center of left console and its panels kp7: Left MFCD and AHCP Right console kp 3: rear panels of right console kp 6: Power panel and CDU kp 9: Right MFCD and Engine gauges Center kp 5: UFC and HUD close up kp 8: Close up of HUD (almost full screen)
Zzenith Posted January 9, 2012 Author Posted January 9, 2012 Hmm cant seem to get this to work.. tried holding L WIN and pressing the relevant Keypad number, then pressing R ALT but new snap views not saving. any ideas thanks
Zenra Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Check out this thread. Once you edit the proper files saving snap views works fine. I also remapped my Num0 to be the toggle key (i.e., no RCtrl), which makes it much easier to switch between normal and snap views. JCook Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Thats right. I didn't mention the small edit in the lua file. Was assuming you'd read the link I attached.
Crashmo Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Snap Not Saving Hey Guys, I've been reading these threads over and over trying to find the magic bullet. I've changed my view.lua files to =false as directed. In game I can change and save my snap views. They work as published for the rest of the mission. Once I exit a mission or game the new snap views are not saved. They then revert to default. I've even alt tabbed during a mission to check the current snap view file against my backup original file and they don't seem to change at all. Any ideas? I want my snap view changes to be saved permanently, not just for that mission.
