fulcrum_64th Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) As the newbie I am, I probably messed up something at the startup check: I can't get my mode to give show me CCPI, CCPR , Gun , NAV modes :( i.e. i don't see the pipers (yet the mode seems to be switched on as I see it on the weapon ordinance screen) Any idea what I am doing wrong ? Thanks a lot Fulcrum PS: the EAC light is illuminated on my xmas tree (not sure if that's related) Edited January 17, 2012 by fulcrum_64th :pilotfly: win 10x64 - Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero - I9 9900K@5.0GHz - Samsung 970 EVO m2 2TB - RAM Corsair 64GB DDR4 - Corsair H150i pro - Strix RTX 2080 Ti- oculus rift S and a few other goodies :joystick:
Tailgate Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 (edited) Was the CDU turned on, initialized, and "Load All" selected in the MFD? Edited January 17, 2012 by Tailgate
EtherealN Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Generally speaking, a track with you performing a startup would offer a quick and easy way to identify the problem. :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Daniel "EtherealN" Agorander | Даниэль "эфирныйн" Агорандер Intel i7 2600K @ 4.4GHz, ASUS Sabertooth P67, 8GB Corsair Vengeance @ 1600MHz, ASUS GTX 560Ti DirectCU II 1GB, Samsung 830series 512GB SSD, Corsair AX850w, two BENQ screens and TM HOTAS Warthog DCS: A-10C Warthog FAQ | DCS: P-51D FAQ | Remember to read the Forum Rules | | | Life of a Game Tester
Inseckt Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Do you have master arm on? IIRC it must be on for weapon cues to display... Help Beczl with his DCS MiG-21Bis project by Pre-Ordering DCS MiG-21Bis module NOW! CLICK HERE TO GO TO PRE-ORDER PAGE AT INDIEGOGO
roob Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 That usually seem to happen (for me at least) when you fail to load the INS completely, fail setting the GPS on the buttons in front of the stick and thus not being able to get the EAC to work. My DCS stream [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Past broadcasts, Highlights Currently too much to do... But watch and (maybe) learn something :)
Eddie Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 Ensure you fully align the EGI (4.0 minutes and 0.8nm per hour drift), select NAV on the CDU and then select EGI on the navigation mode select panel in front of the stick below the HSI. You will then be able to enable EAC etc, and solve the IFFCC targeting issues. If that doesn't work, post a track so we can see exactly what you've done/not done.

He means EGI reads <4.0.0.8> in the last line after starting it. C'mon man, the guy is fresch! :smartass::smartass: But I share EtherealN's concern about posting a track. It will help us to figure what went south and possibly help you do it better. Just a heads up; don't switch views outside the cockpit. It will ruin the track.. fulcrum_64th Posted January 21, 2012 Author Posted January 21, 2012 (edited) Hi All, Thanks a lot for your help. My mistake was that I forgot to switch from HARS to EGI and then arm the EAC. My a-10c is now all working fine ! Need to practice a bit and then apply to an online squadron :) Any hint on which squadron to look into ? I am a big fan of procedure and realistic flying :) I guess like most of you :) Cheers Fulcrum Edited January 21, 2012 by fulcrum_64th :pilotfly: win 10x64 - Asus ROG Maximus XI Hero - I9 9900K@5.0GHz - Samsung 970 EVO m2 2TB - RAM Corsair 64GB DDR4 - Corsair H150i pro - Strix RTX 2080 Ti- oculus rift S and a few other goodies :joystick:
