Love the georgian oil war campaign.

I was a huge fan of the dynamic campaign in EECH, some people like it some people don't but the georgian oil war is as close to that as DCS gets.

My question is, is there a multiplayer version kicking around? or a way to make the player's wingman be pilotable in multi? or a way to even play the campaign progressively in multiplayer?

So far what i've been doing is taking the campaign, mission by mission, and injecting a second client KA-50 hovering next to me in every mission... works fine, only problem is now we're just playing random GOW missions with no context. It would be cool to progress (and fail and lose progress) together as a team.

So are there any ways to accomplish this...?

Come over to the TOG server. There are four GoW campaign maps there that I've prepared for MP. Just added some extra slots for Ka-50 and A10C using mission editor.

I appreciate the invite, but I'm looking to fly just me and a friend over LAN through the campaign progressively, is there a way to do that?

Multipalyer campaign is a splendid idea, I wish ED would pick up on it.

Anyhow, you'll need to add slots to the original campaign maps using the mission editor supplied with BS2/A10C and then run each of them as single maps in MP. You will not be able to progress through the maps as in single player campaign mode and stock up on points and medals.

-Another thing; in the attached map, all trigger settings only apply to the first Ka-50 slot, so make sure the first slot is always taken. To apply the triggersettings for all slots is tideous work!

Example attached.

It is very easy to make MP mission out of the campaign missions, individually. However each MP will not be tied together in the campaign system, but you can still fly them.

Find the "PLAYER" Flight and set it to "Client" in any particular mission - with the flight still selected use CTRL-C and then use CTRL-V to paste another Client Flight onto the map. Paste more flights for more client slots

Thanks Nate, I didn't know it was possible to cut'n'paste like that :)

-But will the trigger settings and all other attributes of the original player/client also be copied?

Copy and pasting with units only keeps everything relevant to the unit itself, triggers are unaffected. You will need to go into the triggers and add the new aircraft as part of the conditions.

The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world.

Yeah well, I was stuck on campus for a while with nothing to do til I carpooled home with my roommates so I spun some nice tunes and just rocked it out. Let me know if there are any mistakes, and I'll repack it and reupload it!
