Want to have some fun, if you can, set it so you can only go full throttle WEP for the 5 minutes the flight manual says it is good for or suffer engine damage.

That will curtail the hotshots flying with full power on for 15 minutes or more.

Once WEP and the rest of the engine damage model is finished, it will take care of itself.;)

i have tried to give a feel of just how dynamic this thing is in movement with the metal and light and reflection. its quite a spectacle !!!!

but no pictures will ever do it justice. and yes its a bit wonky,sides not complete where the multi channels are concerned, and iam ageing at this level because it has to blend with the metal. but alot of what u see there is actually a reversed channel =wrong. but gota find out how these work somehow right.

enjoy. the first image is my favourite so far to me thats how it should look. the plane is metal, the reflection naturally is blue.

feedback please.

Mate, at the risk of suggesting the bleeding obvious, have you installed the latest Saitek drivers for that stick (assuming it's got drivers) and does Windows recognise the stick in Control Panel?

Wishlist Terrains - Bigger maps

Wishlist Modules - A variety of utility aircraft to better reflect the support role. E.g. Flying the Hornet ... big yawn ... flying a Caribou on a beer run to Singapore? Count me in. Extracting a Recon Patrol from a hastily prepared landing strip at a random 6 figure grid reference? Now yer talking!

Hey thanks for the interest...finally got both the Thrustmaster/Saitek working just fine..

Thrustmaster= Had to update " Firmware "

Saitek= Just had to " Calibrate "

Problem is I think my Thrustmaster is toast now..gonna have to get a new one..that or the Warthog..

Thanks again...:thumbup:....took me all Saturday to get pointed in the right direction..but got it..

Had a beer or two in celebration....:drunk::beer:

Well earned I'd say mate :D.

BTW, my favourite aviation movie of all time is "Tuskegee Airmen". Very moving/heroic/human story ... makes me emotional every time I see it, particularly the scene when they land on the road in front of a chain gang. Very moving story ... also when Cuba Gooding Jnr. buys the farm and they start singing the squadron song as he spears into the desert ...

What would be great is if the labels were eventually turned off, server side, so that you really have to look good and hard to find planes. This way pilots will spend a lot more time scanning the sky and hit and run ambushes will be possible. :thumbup::pilotfly:MJ

There is an Espanol server that does this. Red side has the Lutwaffe Iron Cross skin markings. The guys 1st name is Christian, its his server.

Good luck finding the bad guys. I flew a whole tank of gas and never saw the enemy.

There is always the map (F10) or padlock (F5).

Exactly. Even at 2-3nm out, the plane is a tiny little dot. I think I wore out half my hat switch life cycle in that session.

I flew on a server with no labels and fog of war on, so F10 was useless...not fun.

Cheers Ali, I look forward to seeing you guys fly a show some day :) I think DCS has given us all a great appreciation for the difficulty of flying these AC...
