Hi all

 

sorry if these have been asked before, I did search but could not find an answer.

 

First question

 

I want to simulate enemy running away from a group of vehicles that are under fire in a multiplayer mission, for example a convoy of 5 vehicles and one of them gets engaged so convoy stops and troops run away / dismount from vehicles.

 

I know it could be done with triggers in a single player mission, but how would I do it for a dynamic multiplayer mission ?

 

Second question:

 

Is it possible to have KA-50 rearmed and fuelled without a farp present ? for example a KA-50 meets up with some vehicles behind enemy lines to resupply

Think I found the answer to the first question, by using moving zones attached to a unit ?

There are several ways to do the 1st.. but if you have found a way.. cool

99.9% sure there is no way to rearm without a FARP or airfield.

Thanks for the reply MadTommy, I thought as much.

 

would be nice if the FARP could be made invisible so a temporary FARP could be setup with a few vehicles and tents.

Is this a question?

 

I can't remember to be able to "Activate Group in moving Zone".

You have to add a unit to a specific location on the map.

You can activate it by trigger in different ways.

But you can't let them appear on a different location.

 

So there is no way to activate a soldire beside a moving convoy once it get attacked by a client. (random location)

This is only possible if the location -the attack is happened- is 100% steady and clear.

I'm no ME specialist but what about replacing the rearming kamov for a new, armed one? is there any way to make it disappear when it lands? Then spawn a new one in the same position. Unfortunately you won't be able to keep the damage from the first helo.

 

That's possible but only for A.I.

You can't activate/deactivate a client in MP.

The only way to do this is:

 

Add many many many infantry groups along the road and add for every infantry group one trigger zone.

e.g. Triggerzone #1 for Infantry group #1

Triggerzone #2 for Infantry group #2

Triggerzone #3 for Infantry group #3 ... and so on.

 

Then add the triggers:

 

- Part of Group in zone (Convoy - Zone #1) AND Group allive less then 100% (Convoy)

-> Activate Infantry group #1

 

- Part of Group in zone (Convoy - Zone #2) AND Group allive less then 100% (Convoy)

-> Activate Infantry group #2

 

- Part of Group in zone (Convoy - Zone #3) AND Group allive less then 100% (Convoy)

-> Activate Infantry group #3

 

 

... and so on...

 

... and you have to stop the convoy on this point else ALL infantry groups will get active when the convoy moves on after the attack.

Maybe with A.I. off ?
