Hi guys.

I hope some one can help in this one.

In the last MP missions me and others guys have noticed that our beloved green TGP diamond in the TAD is gone no idea why. It is not a big deal because if we make the TGP cursor the SPI we get to see the cake which will follow the movements of the TGP. But still we don´t have idea why the diamond is gone.

Any one knows what we have messed up with in the cockpit for this to happen?

Thanks a lot!

I have seen this in MP missions myself but have this far been unable to work out exactly what the cause is, or even replicate it with any reliability. I suspect it's something to do with the size of the mission and number of units.

Ok. Copy that. Thanks for the answer.

I will pass the information to the others so they don´t hurt themselves re-reading and re-reading the manual to find the answer :)

Cheers

I know for sure the amount of navigation points in the mission is one of the things causing it. (limit looks to be around 45 navpoints)

have been working with that on a lazy sunday afternoon.

Odd thing was that it was just a problem for some clients; other didn't have the problems.

Even more odd: let that client join 20 times: always the problem.

Move hime to another parking spot: problem gone.

back to original parking spot: problem back.

Don't think it's an easy one to hunt down and solve.

Interesting, is anybody broadcasting their SPI? A white square diamond was introduced in either v1.1.1.0 or v1.1.1.1 to show the TGP position of other aircraft's TGP, it they have no SPI designated. It might be possible that this is interfering with the players green diamond, or that the player loses his green diamond if transmitting his own SPI with no SPI assigned?

Just guessing.

While we did our testing, nobody was ever broadcasting.

We were just sitting on the ramp/HAS and starting the plane till the point we had TGP on.

Every single case was with a large mission with a lot of units.

One time was able to resolve the problem by reducing the amount of navpoints from 49(or so) to 45. (adding the navpoints again brought the problemback).

It's just a pita to replicate/ put your finger on the cause.
