Faelwolf Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Forgive me if this (or something like it) has been posted before, but I thought this might come in handy for some. I know that as a total beginner, I am still a bit confused about the terminology, which makes it hard in training to know what exactly they are talking about with all the switch names. I found this to be very helpful, so I thought I'd pass it along. This is not my work, all credit goes to the original author/poster. Depth Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 That's nice, the documentation that came with the TM HOTAS stick explained the name for each button but not how they relate to the sim :) (The stick layout seems half broken, by the way. Text everywhere) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Faelwolf Posted April 7, 2012 Author Posted April 7, 2012 That's odd, on my comp it is laid out perfectly in tables.
Eddie Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Looks good, but fyi it's missing Message Quick Look (China Up Long) and ECM Consent (CMS Press).
Burger Posted April 8, 2012 Posted April 8, 2012 Shouldn't that be "Coolie" Up Long for Message Quick Look? (But I know that's what you meant.... :))
PhoenixBvo Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Hi Faelwolf, nice to see you liked it. Look in my sig for the updated versions. Yours seem to come from a distant past and the text was crippled on my screen as well. @ Eddie: You might have meant the Coolie hat, but even for that one there is no function Up Long listed in the manual and the quick look is actually under Coolie Down Long... Is there an error in the manual? The latest version of the charts also contains the ECM Consent (altough I called it Activate / Deactivate ECM). Eddie Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Yep Coolie up long. PhoenixBvo, There are two quick look commands. DSMS quick look (coolie down long) and message quick look (coolie up long). Message quick look is a bit of a hidden secret and not listed in the manual.
PhoenixBvo Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 (edited) Cool thanks, will update the charts! I get some of the oddest and oldest stuff in my searches sometimes. I will check it out when I get home tonight. My comp here at work comes up blank on your link, but it has so many odd security setttings etc. that I don't know if it is an error on the page or my work system. And yes, I like your chart very much, it is a pretty handy quick reference, and really helped me get the switch names down to understand instructions a lot easier.
PhoenixBvo Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 The link in my sig is down, because I uploaded an update to the site... The mods have to check the content before putting it online. BUT, you can directly download the latest version from my previous post. SolUniverse Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Reopneing an old thread.. does anyone have a lay out of the HOTAS Warthog for all the planes? for 1.2.8?
Hobo Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 It would be hard to have a layout for all planes saying the only auto config for the warthog is just the A10C. Everything else you would need to setup on your own.
