snak Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 not sure avout video but audio is easy when you create a waypoint the settings for this are in the actions section for triggers. Im doing this from memory whilst not at a pc with the a10 on it.
Speed Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 There are trigger actions that allow you to play sound to all, sound to country, sound to coalition, or even, sound to group. See the GUI manual. Jona33 Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 In FC2 you could play a track at the beginning of a mission. Not sure if it's still available. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Hereje Posted April 16, 2012 Author Posted April 16, 2012 Well .. Thanks.. i suppose i will make two diferent archives and make one Zip.. =) Thanks to all!
Sabre-TLA Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I can't take credit for this as I found it on a long forgotten post but I think this will work: TRACK PLAYBACK PRIOR TO MISSION START (MISSION INTRO) It's now possible to create missions with a pre-recorded introduction track. The procedure to create a mission with an intro track is as follows: 1. Create a mission with the necessary triggers, graphical and audio material. 2. Launch the mission, record the intro track and save it. 3. Create a new file, called "continue_track" with the number '1' inside. The file can be created with Notepad or other similar program. The file should have no extension. 4. Open the TRK file with your archive opener (winrar, etc.) and insert the "continue_track" file inside the "track_data" folder of the TRK archive. 5. Rename the TRK extention to MIZ. As a result you will have a MIZ file that includes a track file inside. When the mission is launched, the track will be played back, after which the player will be handed control automatically. 4 MapleFlagMissions - Read Our Blog for Updates

I should have investigated more thoroughly. I wondered how they did the pre-scripted intro parts. You know (or perhaps don't) me... I thought they had done it with Lua. The one time I investigated how they got the pre-scripted intro sequences I was looking for some kind of embedded Lua or Lua file... kinda got a one-track mind in that respect. :D Anyway, thank you SO much Sabre!!! I'm not quite sure about the procedure, but I should be able to just unzip one of the training missions and fill in the gaps now that I have some idea of how it is done. I guess the question is: what happens in multiplayer? Nothing? Or could we create uber-cool intro sequences to our missions? What relation does the track have to have to the actual mission? I suppose the track and mission share the same game world, and the track just controls cockpit and views but is there anything else? Anyway, THANKS AGAIN! 1 Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility. EvilBivol-1 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 To use an intro track, you basically rename the track to a .miz, and include the track data in the mission archive. So in effect what you're playing when you open a mission with an intro track is the track, not the original mission. But once the track is complete, the mission continues to run. - EB [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Nothing is easy. Everything takes much longer. The Parable of Jane's A-10 Forum Rules

So are you saying it could be something completely different? A completely different mission? If so, I can't wait to put this to good effect... well, actually, I DO have to wait to put this to good effect (too darned busy!). Even if it's single player only, it will still be awesome. Hi, its a very old topic however I have a question :), if Id like to do not intro, just the whole mission as a track (recorded before), I have to change only extension from trk to miz without inserting any file (so user see only what AI will do)?
