Hi everyone,

I've been experimenting with some unusual weapons loadouts such as this:

The problem is, when I select outer or inner pylons, I can't specify which weapon to use first, because the loadout is asymmetrical.

Is there a way to select the pylons individually rather than just inner/outer?

Because the Ka-50 can't handle such a loadout.

The only working asymmetrical loadout I tried are the one with only one external fuel tank.

I found it very convenient with the Smoke or Illuminants rockets, because shoot 2 smoke rockets together on the same place is quite useless IMHO, and in AFAC role, you need a lot of fuel due to the higher consumption rate of the hovering flight.

Ka-50 avionics isn't smart enough,old technology :D

@B25...anyway it's possible that asymetrical load like yours were judged useless from a operational point of view,so no need to implement such a logic in the store management system.

That's a shame. The KA-50 can actually handle such a loadout... it just forces me to expend all ordinance on the left-outer pylon before I can fire from the right-outer pylon. So I'd either have to fire all my Vikhrs before gaining access to the Kh-25ml, or load the Kh-25ml on the left outer pylon and use that first.

I'd been imagining using this sort of loadout in scenarios with SAM batteries where you could take out the launcher first with the Kh-25ml, then finish off the radar and support vehicles with the Vikhrs at closer range. This is still possible I guess, but it leaves you will little means of self-defence until after you've fired off that Kh-25.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but no it can not. It was never cleared to fire the Kh-25 because it is way too heavy a missile for a helicopter. The resulting amounts of rocket exhaust and the unbalance are factors that make it too dangerous and impractical to be used with the Ka-50.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Come let's eat grandpa!

The DCS Ka-50 begs to differ.

Note that I'm not complaining... just a little disappointed that the real avionics (and hence the simulated Black Shark's avionics) fall slightly short of letting us use this interesting loadout to its full potential. :(

Good tip though, Flanker0ne - single smoke rockets and a fuel tank would be pretty useful.
